Ergotron MX Desk Mount LCD Mouting Arm -ALUMINUM
Cons:Absolutely no cons amazing

Pros:This is one of those rare items "these days" that is just more than you expected all around. It's very well designed and works amazingly well with my 27" monitor. I purchased one that was nearly as expensive for my wife's 24" iMac about two years ago and it is a joke compared to this beast. Lets put it this way, If someone stole this one and the price for a new one had gone up to $350.00 I wouldn't even think twice about buying it again.
Comment:
I'm already a huge fan of Ergotron products going back to when I used to design and install computer rooms and data centers. So, when the time came for me to buy something for my home office, I did shop a bit but always came back to Ergotron. Last year I purchased the LX Dual Desk Mount Arm to support a 22" Samsung monitor and my Apple MacBook Pro 15". This setup has been awesome, providing me with a dual-monitor feature that is really a time saver.I want to provide some key information to anyone considering this device that I think will help you decide.1) I purchased this arm concerned it may not support the weight of the Apple iMac 27" computer. The computer with the base weighs in at 30.5 lbs and without the base is ~27.5 lbs. so based on the math, I'm well within the weight range of the MX Arm spec. That being said, since I already knew how to adjust my LX Dual Arm setup, I found the MX to be identical in adjustment and fitment capability.2) Ergotron sent a nice package of bolts, screws, desk-mount optional hardware and even a set of tools to make the adjustments. Setting it up was simple and getting attached was fairly straight forward. They provide a wing-nut to tighten the base to the desk but I recommend if you have a heavy monitor or computer like I do, go to a nearby hardware store and buy a nylon-insert  nut (I forgot the specific size, just take the bolt with you) and use that to fasten it to the desk. Be sure not to over tighten it or you could potentially damage your furniture and the swing arm.3) If your computer or monitor leans toward the high end of the scale with respect to the specification of this swing arm, be sure to pre-tighten the adjustment screws before you put weight on it. You'll find it much easier to do and, easier to adjust afterward. I should have I know but I didn't keep track of how many revolutions I made on the neck and head adjustments but suffice it to say it was more than 20 full revolutions. You'll get a sense for how the tension is but just be careful not to over tighten.4) Make sure you've assembled everything according to the spec but also make sure you've installed your mounting bracket correctly so that you can just simply lay the monitor or the computer on the MX Arm and hand tighten the large plastic-headed screws to the 100x100 mounting plate. This will make life very easy.Bottom line, I used the VESA Mount Adapter Kit for 24-inch/27-inch iMac and 24-inch LED Cinema Display - Apple Part Number: MC434ZM/A -- this worked perfectly and was very well made.

Ergotron MX Desk Mount LCD Mouting Arm -ALUMINUM
Cons:Some screen movements are a little stiff

Pros:It can support big heavy (> 20lb) screen
Comment:
This thing is excellent with my T260 (with a custom VESA adaptor, no thanks to Samsung!). I have more space on my desk. I can move the screen around, tilt and even rotate the screen 90 degrees (with a little effort) and the screen stay in that position. Excellent buy with a PM.

Ergotron MX Desk Mount LCD Mouting Arm -ALUMINUM
Cons: -None, really.

Pros: -Superior build quality.-Heavy-duty and it will hold your expensive 30' monitor just right without any problems.-Supplied with 100x100mm mount kit also VESA compatible.-Screwless adjustments post initial installation (if you decided to move it to new desk or etc.)
Comment:
I got one arm at first and when I saw the thing I was really amazed, I ordered a second one a week after and I am very very pleased with them.P.S: if you're a coder, get two of them without any other considerations and dual-monitors!Cheers!

Ergotron MX Desk Mount LCD Mouting Arm -ALUMINUM
Cons: Not as much freedom of movement as I was hoping for due to length of arms and jointsPricey

Pros: Very strong and durableEasy to installThumbscrews for VESA mounting to reduce need for toolsWide range of mobility to suit your average positioning needs
Comment:
Bought this to hold one of m monitors for Eyefinity since I didn't have enough desk-space for the additional monitor. Overall this provides a relatively wide range of adjustment and movement to easily fit the position you need it in. If it weren't so expensive, I would definitely get another one for my other remaining 2 monitors that are just sitting on textbooks.

Ergotron MX Desk Mount LCD Mouting Arm -ALUMINUM
Cons: Doesn't lift as high as I'd like

Pros: Holds my 30" monitor up just fineVery sturdy build
Comment:
I needed to get my 30" monitor off my desk up to eye level. This arm did it (at least came very close). I'm amazed that the arm holds my monitor up at all given how heavy it is. I haven't really tested its swivel abilities much - it's basically a stand replacement for me!

Ergotron MX Desk Mount LCD Mouting Arm -ALUMINUM
Cons: Takes time to adjust the tension of the joints. The tilt spring is too strong for my monitor even after adjusting it to the max.

Pros: Excellent build qualityTilt, rotate, pan, lift and extension/retraction adjustmentssupport up to 30" monitor (30lbs, so they claim)cable hiding compartmentCan either clamp to your desk or through surface hole if you don't mind drilling a hole
Comment:
If you don't have a clampable desk surface, you will have to drill a hole (at least 1/3"). Just make sure to position the hole so that it has enough space for the bottom clamp too!

Ergotron MX Desk Mount LCD Mouting Arm -ALUMINUM
Cons:Very stiff

Pros:Very sturdy constructionHolds up to 30" screen
Comment:
The first thing I noticed after receiving this desk mount was how heavy it was. It's made of very thick metal and feels very durable. Clamps to the desk the same as every desk mount. Mounting an Asus 25.5" VW266H took a little work because of the weight of the lcd and the mount but I did it alone within 10 minutes.Compared to the Ergotron LX, which I use right next to the MX, the MX feels stiff when moving the lcd around. The LX moves very smoothly and easily while it feels like I need to fight to move the MX.Good mount for a somewhat high price.

Ergotron MX Desk Mount LCD Mouting Arm -ALUMINUM
Cons:Needs a lot of adjustments at start

Pros:Very flexible, good angles, attaches tightly to a table or desk
Comment:
Attached a 23 inch touchscreen to it. Perfect to help twist and show customers and let them touch. The adjustments are a bit had at first but once you find the correct adjustments its just a great mount.
