I purchased this in addition to an Everki Titan backpack (reviewed on Titan product page).The Everki Shield is a fabulous little product. The bottom is slightly rubberized while the top is reminiscent of suede leather. It is ideal for protecting the screen when closing a laptop lid, placing the rubberized side against the keyboard with the suede side up. The suede side is also ideal for cleaning smudges on the screen. That being said, I don't understand using it as a mouse pad if it is also to be used for the above purposes. Mouse pads get filthy from use, which negates their usefulness as a surface to place against a screen.My only real gripe with this product is that I wanted it to be larger. I use it on my Asus G74SX and it is quite small in comparison to the 17.3" screen. I believe it still protects the parts of the screen that it does not touch when the lid is closed but perhaps Everki should consider making 2 sizes, with 1 being about twice as large as the current model. |
