It stopped multiple sheet feed problems. The OEM parts are only good for 1 year.

Sub-optimal solution

Comment:
The ScanSnap is fantastic. I have subjected the two I have owed to heavy usage. The cleaning kit is unnecessary. Of the two mechanical parts, one is rated for 50,000 and the other for 100,000 sheets. The former has gone for ca. 75,000 sheets and I suspect that I will wear out before the longer-lasting part wears out. In sum the consumer should be able to buy the parts separately. Did I mention that the scanner is terrific?
