It was easy to set up. Just followed the quick version set up. Set it up to be 3 segments. 2 segments are back ups for 2 segments of another external hard drive back up, and one segment is for rogue storage. It is cool to the touch. Quiet. Sleeps the hard drive disk when not recording. I love it. So now if either external hard drive bites the dust, I can replace it, and copy the data to it and back in business.

Bought this about a month ago to back up a 750-gigabyte computer hard drive. No complaints so far. It didn't come with software - a small disappointment - but my Windows utility worked fine. Backup was simple. Appears to be well worth the price.

Grabbed this drive as a backup solution for my desktop machine - fast using eSATA interface, and works well with built in backup solution in Vista Home Premium. Price is definitely right too!

I picked this drive because it was on sale and I read the reviews and although I wasn't very familiar with the brand I thought I would give it a try since it was so cheap for so much space. I've had the drive for about 2 months now and it runs great...its put up with some abuse initially and still runs great, I use it as storage for movies, music, and tv shows and it works GREAT!!!

I received this hard drive in June 2009 and it's working perfectly. It stays cooler longer than my previous 500GB hard drive. It's fast and accurate.

I use this to back up my Windows Home Server, so it's the backup of the backup so to speak. I use it as E-SATA and it's great. The only thing that would have been better is if it shipped with the E-SATA cable. Would definitely recommend this drive.

i've only had the fantom for a short while, and it is everything that i wanted to store on it and for the price it's great. I've never have a problem ordering anything from this site or had to wait long for product to arrive.

This drive has been great for me. The best thing about it is it's cool sleek solid construction. It blends right in with my Macbook Pro. Looks like it was made for it, especially with the blue activity light. I would recommend this drive to anyone!!

I have had the drive for 3 months and it is great! The only thing I had to do was to reformat it to NTFS, which took about half an hour. Other than that it has been effortless. Worth the entire $100 I spent on it.

I have had no problems; works great. This is a very quiet hard drive. I have had several in the past that were quite loud; so I was very suprised by this one (happily so). I would recommend this one to anybody in the market for a great hard drive.

This hard drive is great. Its plug and play like its supposed to be not plug and PRAY like the days of old. No hassles just plug it in and start writing your data to it. I have two computers and I use it for both. Its a great way to transfer data from one to the other. I also like that it has its own power switch. I have had this drive for about 6 months now and I love it. Also you dont have to have it do auto back ups like some of the other drives. No complicated menus to deal with just plug it in and your good. Like a big USB drive.

I picked this product up in store and as soon as i got home i made a 130GB backup on it, using its native FAT32 format without problems. Just thought it was interesting that it has a WesternDigital drive in it, and at this price it was totally worth it.

I ordered the Fantom GF1000EU G-Force in a hurry to download Video files from a mainframe where my 12 movies were stored. They mainframe folks were working with Mac format and they downloaded to my Fantom and I plugged the Fantom into my PC and was able to work with the files immediately. This is an excellent cross platform device. I am excited at the flawless simple performance.
