I have done bad things to it like pull the plug but never lost data. This is why I own 6 of them. They are also remarkably cool even after being used all day.

This product works great, runs quietly, ships fast and is pretty inexpensive for the size of hard drive. The fantom hard drive is longer and thinner than it looks in the picture.

so far having owned this for 1 week i'm very happy with it. the only thing it comes preformatted with fat32 and i couldn't copy a 6gb file onto the drive. i formatted the drive to ntfs and now no problems at all.

This product looks great, sounds great (i.e. silent) and installs great! I took a notch off the performance score because it isn't exactly a screamer, but it is more than fast enough for my needs. I'm also using USB 2.0 so perhaps the eSata would be significantly faster.

Product seems to be doing fine so far had it for 1 month now and no problems yet. There is one thing i don't like about it tho. If i don't shut it off before powering up my computer it locks my computer up, won't boot. To get around that just turn off the unit than boot up your computer. Otherwise its a good product.... I purchased 2 of these as backup for my Dell XPS, they are a little slow but do the job so far.

I've had this drive for almost a month now and love it. I was skeptical at first as I never heard of the brand. I read the reviews and was convinced to give it a try and am glad I did. I love the slim rugged aluminum case as opposed to the cheap plastic cases found on other popular external drives. The drive is very quiet and runs cool. I'll be buying another when the need arises.

After doing my on-line research on a few websites and reading many reviews on external hard drives, I chose this one based on the good reviews and price. I am not much of a techie but I was easily able to follow the included directions and format it to NTFS. Both units are performing excellently. Only issue: formatting. I had each on a different computer and in both cases it took 3+ hours to format to NTFS. I am very happy with them and would buy this product again!

I bought this unit as an external hard drive for a Bell Express vu PVR. It was plugged in and it worked flawlessly. I highly recommend this product - especially for this kind of application. And the price (after some research) is quite competitive.

Very happy with purchase. Easy setup. No defects. Good price. Small footprint on desk. on/off switch. Add a firewire port and cables and I would have rated it 5 in all categories.
