Initially couldn't get it to format under MacOS X, but the correct Disk Utility settings were easy to find on the manufacturer's FAQ, and now it works fine. Best price ever for an aluminum case drive.

I have had mine for almost two months, and so far, so good. After formatting the drive, which took a few hours, I simply plugged it in, and it's been working well ever since. USB transfer speeds seem faster than I expected. I like the fact that there is an "on/off" switch. It's actually necessary, as the device doesn't have a internal fan, however it never seems to get too hot even when left on all day. Also very impressed with service: I ordered Monday afternoon on-line, and it was delivered Wednesday. So all in all, it's been a good experience. I would do business again, and I am very pleased with the drive. Recommended.

I love this drive. Fast, Very quiet, and though I have only had this product for less than a month it is running with out a hitch plug and go simple setup. I partitioned the drive in about 5 minuets with no problems

Plugged it in, Quick Format, and it was ready to go. Easy, and plenty of backup room now. No fan so it's quiet.

I use this beast to back up my home PC's. Wonderful machine; very easy to use; very quiet and fast. Be sure to have a 2.0 USB connection unless you like to wait all day for it to transfer info, but that's not the fault of the machine. I also like the metal case; very rugged. Excellent deal.

I've had this for a couple weeks now and it's been working as expected. It's a nice build, nearly silent, and the storage capacity and transfer speeds are what you'd expect from USB 2.0 at least (I have no eSata port on the computer, but on average the USB 2.0 transfer speeds are about 20-30 MB/s, with read/write speed heavily depending on the harddrive in the computer itself). Well worth the purchase!

I bought this thing on a Friday, didn't pay for superfast shipping, and I got it on Tuesday! This is a great deal. A one Terabyte hard drive for just over $100. You can't go wrong! I was able to back up both of my computers, plus two external hard drives, and I still have room to spare! Grab this one fast!

it works great as a usb drive , however i bought a estata cord and found one hickup. if the hd is turned off ( at power switch ) and i turn it on to access it... vista is not recognizing the new hardware untill i reseat the esata cord at either end. usb has no problems. i love the speed of the esata i love this drive even with the one quirk.

Delivery was immediate. Performance is satisfactory. After a little more than 30 days have not encountered any problems though I have backed up two large computers on it. Have downgraded Features and Quality slightly because I have no means of comparing.

I've had this for about a month and am very happy with it. I'll never fill it up. I really like the on/off switch. The blue light is a little bright, but not a reason to not buy this.

Gotta say, this drive is worth the money hands down. The case isn't plastic it's aluminum. It stays cool, runs quiet and doesn't even need a fan. I've had others, Seagate was the last. Broke in a month. Lost ton's of files. The thing actually melted in it's center wiring and it cost twice as much as this one for half the size. The on/off switch is a really, really nice feature. You just don't see that. Normally you pull the plug to turn them off. Kind of a stupid way to shut something off. The only problem (and it really isn't one) is the incredibly bright LED. I'd buy it again. Oh and it hooks up really easily. Only had it two weeks but so far I'm impressed and would buy another. Oh, and it came pre-formatted. Fat 32 but still.

I bought this to transfer files from my Western Digital MyBook drive since it was dying (my fault, it got knocked over). First thing I noticed was the metal case seemed 100x more sturdy than the plastic WD. Works flawlessly so far, my only gripe is that there is no power saver mode, you have to manually turn it off after your PC goes to sleep or shuts down.

I bought this Hard Drive about a month ago, and I love it. Its built tough, and looks a lot better than others that I have looked at. Comes with a power switch and eSATA port...what more can you ask for. Buy it you wont regret it.

I owned one of these units for several months now, it is on 24/7 sitting on a shelve. Runs cool, quiet and perfect. easy setup, plug and use. I'm purchasing another unit to back this unit up (not that I have had any problems) with all my movies, music and photos on a weekly or monthly basis and this second unit will be turned off and stored in a safe as an emergency recovery unit.. Just being safe...

This drive is all that it claims to be. It takes 2-3 hours to format. Its silent.Runs cool. It shows 931gb. I've used 300gb already. If it gets close to being full. I'll gladly buy another one.
