Using unit as image backup to my hard drive. Looked for unit with on off switch as I don't keep the equipment running all the time. Took unit out of box, bought additional eSATA cable and connected it up. Has worked flawlessly. Very happy with purchase.

I currently have six of these units working full time,,,,absolutely no problems. The oldest is about six months old, and has been running continuously the whole time with no problems.

Bought this for my wife as she has alot of files. Hooked it up and bingo worked right away. She was able to save her important docs. as soon as the drivers were installed and SHE LOVES it. Not much more to say but when the wife is happy everybody is happy. Great product a must buy if you need extra roon.

Works well and seems to be pretty fast. Have had no issues with the operation of the drive. My only complaint is that it is quite noisy. Not a major issue by any means but it is noticeable.

Got it home, plugged it in to my linksys NAS, reformatted and presto! 1TB network storage up and running. Quiet and runs cool. So far so good!

this was a good hard drive until it crashed two months after i purchased it. to get a warrenty repair, first you have to get an RMA number, you can only do this thru email. first you have to request a number then they will email back and ask what went wrong with it in about two or three days and then and only then and only if you answered the questions correctly, they will send an RMA number by email in about two or three more days. hope you don't need that hard drive. and by the way, do not try and call repairs can only be done by email.

i had this hard drive through my deployemnt and it held up until i returned to the states. the connector ended up breaking inside of the enclosure where it connected to hd. easy fix to swap out enclosures. overall good hd, life wont be as long if traveling frequently

I bought this drive to back up to and less then two weeks short of the year warrent it died. so now I am without my back up files but out of the drive also as I am still waiting to here from manufactor for warenty work

This drive is good value for the money but VERY NOISY!. I bought this drive to replace a failing Apple Time Capsule HD to be used as a Time Machine Backup HD for my MAC. The drive cost about half the price of a Apple drive and has the same Hitachi HD in it. The drive performs well however is very Noisy. I could barely hear the Apple Time Capsule drive but this thing sounds like a Tank. Overall satisfied and for the money probably would buy another one - I just wish they could have shielded the sound of the drive a little better. As far as this company is concerned - Good Service, Great Prices and Quick Shipping!

I bought this as a backup hard drive for my work system and to be able to back up and transfer files on my many home systems. Price was good, worked very well and no problems. I remember when 340 meg was big. Oh my.

It works great. So far so good. I'm glad it has a on and off switch, if I restart the computer with the fantom on, the computer will not connect properly. So make sure to turn the fantom off when is not being used.

Hi bought this External H Drive because I was running out of room on my PC. It worked great, I had no problem transfering data, it's working great. It would have been nice if the eSATA cable came with it. I payed 5 dollars for the one I finally found. I would have payed a little more if the cable was there. It is a Great deal. PS If you look there's a 2TB under $200. My next one I will be getting.

It's Good. Metal and top-heavy, though. Don't put your computer into standby mode and then turn off the external hard drive. Make sure you follow the dismount instructions. I made that mistake and then suffered a memory loss on the computer.

Compared to my last 1TB drive this thing is godly. The case looks sleek and nice, the eSATA port is definitely a plus, and it's faster and more reliable than any drive I've used to date. Plus it's light and portable for when I need to take it with me. I've never used a Phantom drive before, but I can see myself buying another soon. Great buy!

I bought this drive about a month ago and am very impressed. It is quiet, doesn't take much space and the enclosure looks pleasing enough that you don't have to try and hide it. Have not noticed any performance issues. I use it to store dvd images and to backup the rest of my computer. It is an excellent buy for a 1 TeraByte drive. I recommend it. ED

i plugged it in right out of the box, moved my stuff over and it was done!. that simple, no software, no hassle, nothing. i love it.
