Sharp looking and it is holding my material
Comment:
I purchased 5 of these to collect data on for the past years. All I can say is that they look sharp and it was easy for me to download all my material on to them. |

Great; product
Comment:
Works great. I had to buy esata cable for better performance and speed. With the esata cable, it is not hotswappable. (means that I have to reboot for computer to see hard drive each time I unplugged it). But everything else is just perfect. |

Does what is promised
Comment:
I bought two of these for the desktops in his bedroom and he reports that using eSata on one is MUCH faster than the other(it is) and he wishes that both his computers had the proper ports. And I take the fact that he's never had any issues and never asked me to even look at the drive means he's found it easy and exactly what he wanted. The eSata cable is a separate purchase and everything worked 100% out of the box |

For my Mac
Comment:
A little surprised and disappointed that this product had to be shipped from the States but it arrived in a reasonable time period. Hookup was very simple, formatted the drive and set it up as my backup machine. Very quiet and so far no problems what so ever. If you are looking for an external then you can't beat the value of this one. |

So far so good
Comment:
We haven't had our external hard drive very long but it has worked very well so far. Of course I still recommend to have disc back up just in case. Other than that everything looks great. :) |

Fantom 1TB external Hard Drive
Comment:
If you're like me, you love it when things just work. You're not the type who thinks that a USB item needs anything more than to be plugged in a viola, it works. The snag for me was that I started using the device, and then tried to transfer some much larger files, only to learn (in the provided manual) that I needed to format it to FAT32 (I think) in order for there to be no choking of the file sizes you can transfer at once. AFTER that though, this drive is an awesome value and highly recommended. |

Perfect for Cable converter/dvr units
Comment:
Out of the box and plugged in the eSATA cable (separate purchase) to my cable converter/dvr box took less than 3 minutes. The cable converter saw it, formated it and added it to the storage capacity. (The cable companies won't tell you about this!) Storage was at 67% but dropped to 6% immediately. Room to store hours and hours of HD recorded shows. Love it. |

Stubborn blue beast
Comment:
Good general purpose drive, formatted readily and handles both USB and eSATA transfers smoothly. eSATA interface is clunky and suffers performance limitations well below device standard but still faster than USB 2.0. Drive does heat up after 1-2hrs of regular use or 30min heavy use but does not overheat, does not idle so long as computer is on. The blue indicator light is very bright, like night light bright, and can't be disabled without voiding warranty... |

Good drive
Comment:
I liked the esata connection. Put a esata PCI 2.0 addon card and connected that way. It runs real fast. No problems at all. |

Exactly What I Needed
Comment:
This is exactly what I was looking for. All I had to do was plug in the cord and it detected the rest. All my files for my website http://www.renegadetravelmarketer.com along with my music fits on this thing with a LOT more space left over! |

Outstanding Product for the Price
Comment:
I received this product much quicker than expected. I used a USB cable to attach it to a computer running Windows 7 (RTM). The Fantom was quickly found and added to the hardware configuration. I now use it for all central backups on my wireless network. |

Awesome Product
Comment:
Since i got this HD it never gave any problems, its durable and works fast, if i need another HD in the future i will definitely buy this product again |
The product arrived very quickly. Set-up was a no-brainer but the reformatting took a long time. The manual suggests the change from FAT32 to NTFS should only take a maximum of 90 minutes, mine took 12 hours via USB. Once reformatted, a complete PC backup went very quickly. Overall I am very pleased. One minor picky point: the power cord is a little short.
