Filco Majestouch 2 Limited Edition Yellowtop Cherry MX Black Switch 104 Key Mechanical Keyboard
Cons:As a standalone keyboard without additional features/macros I can see the downside to a gamer, but for a guy that just works in 3D/2D software daily, its a gem.
Pros:Gorgeous canary yellow keys. No stickiness on any of the keys, even when pressing them at a slight angle like on most mechanical keyboards. USB allows like 8 simultaneous keys to be pressed at once, PS2 apparently allows more (I haven't tried this) but the USB hookup is seamless.Heavy duty, heavy in general and high quality craftsmanship. |
If you want additional bells and whistles, obviously this is not it. For a workstation computer though, its undoubtedly my favourite keyboard on the market at the moment and quite possibly the best I've ever used. I'm assuming the black version of this Filco is just as good, but I love the canary yellow keys and when people walk into my studio, they notice it first, admire it and ignore the backlit Razer's, Azio and other brands sitting at other workstations in my studio. The price-point seems a few bucks much but I had to get my hands on it. Millions of keystrokes guaranteed, 5 year warranty. Comes with 4 different coloured WASD keys and a lil' device/tool to easily remove the keys.
