Flip video U260W-CA White 2.0" LCD HD Pocket Camcorder
Cons:No memory slot for expansion. I can't see a need for this if you're buying a new digital camera as HD video is pretty much standard on most new cameras. Less than 8 months left for warranty support as of the writing of this review.
Pros:Very simple operation. It doesn't get much simpler than this. |

Flip video U260W-CA White 2.0" LCD HD Pocket Camcorder
Cons:Drains AA batteriesLags when playing in computer so have to drag video in to watch
Pros:Highly portableRecords at 720pVery user friendly Comment:
This is an easy to use cam with decent video quality. I originally had my roomate pick it up because it was on sale and had seen it being used on Zach Ryders youtube channel. My only gripe is the battery life. You will get an hour max out of a set of batteries so buy chargeable nimh to save money if you're going to buy this. |

Flip video U260W-CA White 2.0" LCD HD Pocket Camcorder
Cons:- Internal built in 4GB storage that is not expandable or replacable. - uses AA batteries; unless you have some rechargables like 2000+ be prepared to swap them frequently. I am using 2000 and 2450.
Pros:- Light weight, - uses standard AA batteries (also see cons); - quality of video pretty nice. Comment:
It is a good camcorder for simple stuffs. I use this as a backup to my other camcorder when its battery dies - this way, I should not miss most of the actions/moments/fun.Bought it at special price of $39.99 - a good price point for this unit.Quality is quite nice. Again for about $45 after taxes; you can even get a half decent camera, let alone a video camcorder.Agree that the internal storage should be at least 8GB. Better yet make it a user replacable / supplied type. |

I bought this to to complement my dslr as it's an older model (2008) that doesn't have video built-in. I compared the Kodak models against the Flips and even though the Kodaks have more features, I went with Flip because the Kodaks seem to have more QC issues down the road. I bought this at an awesome price last July. The boxing day price a few months later was only a few dollars less. If you have a need for a stand-alone HD video recorder, I'd recommend considering a Flip!
