Fractal Design Define XL Black E-ATX Mid Tower Silent Computer Case 4X5.25 10X3.5INT USB3.0 No PS
Cons:-Door does not open 270 degrees like on the P182, at least 180 degrees would have been nice-Stock fans are quiet but very weak-No front panel eSATA port anymore, last revision had it-Some drive trays are too tight, have to use a dremel on the locking tab
Pros:-Plenty of room to work with including the rear for cable management-Lots of 3.5" bays-Good sound dampening-Sturdy, well-built |
Bought this to replace my P182 and will be home to a new X79 watercooled build. It's a nice, sleek looking case that's very similar in design to Antec. Love the black and white theme. Simplistic looking exterior which I prefer over ones with LEDs all over the exterior. Plenty of 3.5" drive bays and trays. Good sound dampening material on side panels.I will be replacing the 140mm and 180mm fans because they are too weak for my tastes. They are really quiet though. Also, some of the drive trays don't "snap" into place even when pushed all the way in. I have to dremel the locking tab a bit in order for it to fit. This is the new version that includes USB3.0 ports in the front panel. They did however remove the eSATA port.
