I'm operating this RAM @ 1600 with 6-8-6-24-2T timings. I opt for a lower clock divider so that when I'm done overclocking the Athlon II processor, it ends up back at 1600. Doesn't seem to play nicely with specific FSB and memory divider combinations. I got this to perform at FSB200뢈뢰 with corresponding memory divider settings to get the RAM to come in at 1600. Other combinations would not POST with the tight timings. They don't sell 4GB sticks at this CAS latency; the greatest you can presently get is 2GB sticks. Pricey; you can save a lot of dollars by going with CAS 7 (and you can get 4GB sticks of that too). Function fantastic, No DoA very good cas latency for DDR3 just set voltage to it need to have and fly high. Is not really a cons but need to have to OC CPU to run pair with the RAM, so fair I haven't lag to had actually need to have to but is a wonderful storage if needed later on. |

Wonderful Ram. Booted up and ran fine, memtet zero errors at stock speeds. They are running appropriate not without having errors at even tighter timings, 6-7-6-24-1t, and I might even try for 6-6-6-24-1t!!Get this memory if you have am3, you wont regret it! The greatest timings I could uncover for the cost.G.Skill tech support is excellent (see Other Thoughts).Hits timings at 1.51V with my AMD PII X4 955 BE, Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 (BIOS version F3).Looks cool. I couldn't get the specified timings when I was making use of the F1 BIOS. The new F3 BIOS works just fine though, with some wiggle room! The heat spreaders are really tall. I won't be able to get another set, due to the fact they would run into my heatsink. It is a quite close fit as it is. As an additional reviewer stated, the heat spreaders are about as tall as credit card. I talked to G.Skill tech support about not getting able to get my RAM to the specified timings. They were very courteous and valuable throughout the ordeal. Just one more reason that I'll preserve getting G.Skill products (this is my 3rd obtain from them). |
These things worked on my AMD technique at 1600MHzʆ-8-6-24-40-1T. Memtest'ed for 8+ hours and all is properly. At present OC'ing my reference clock and have managed to get to 320 so far. I had to run the memory at 1.77v though, and that's using the lowest divider as well. I'll post much more OC'ing results at a later date. None For all of you AMD users wondering if this RAM will work with your program - it will only work if your CPU is a C3 REVISION!!!!!!!!!!! Don't forget your motherboard has to support up to 1600MHz as nicely. If you don't know if yours does, find out somehow, or you'll discover out by seeing how this RAM works with you program - and it may possibly be too late by then.
