GELID Solutions 3-PIN Fan Speed Controller 5-12V
Cons:None yet.
Pros:CompactEasy to use! Runs coolSticky-back tape and screw hole mounting type.Long wires for standard 3-pin fans.Doesn't make noise! Comment:
This voltage controller is easy to use and can support loads up to 700mA (8.4W) according to the manufacturer literature. Most fans use about 85mA to 200mA (~1.00W to 2.40W at 12V full power)so after verifying your 12V supply and fan current usage, you can operate several fans from this controller. I use mine with a Noctua NF-12P 1300RPM 120mm fan and it works fine. I think the fan controller may be a linear mode transistor type controller or simple rheostat, either way I am thankful it doesn't emit a dreaded switching PWM tone! Would I buy again? Yes, I have four of them. |

GELID Solutions 3-PIN Fan Speed Controller 5-12V
Cons:voltage controller knob is a little stiff
Pros:actually worksgood quality Comment:
overall i think this is a really good fan controller it helps bring down the noise level of the fans in my case. be careful if you are using this with LED fans, they obviously will dim if they don't get a lot of power, and tend to rattle as well, i am using cooler master's blue led fans at 5v they rattle a bit, but you have to have your ear right up against it to hear it, and the led practically turn off. so i had to give it a little more power in order to be satisfied completely. |
