this mother board seemed awsome specially with the "amd's new gen of 6 core cpu help" and i bought a phenom ii x6 1090t juts for it. turns out the mother board requirements a bios flash to help 6 core processors and i want to acquire one more cpu just to flash, thats money down the drain. Im positive the board functions fine with the bios update. |

Easy setup. drivers installed with no complications. Detected Athlon II 620 x4 CPU just fine. Computer is operating stable. I like it when an upgrade goes straightforward and smooth like this one. According to the manufacturer's webpage (under FAQs), if you are having difficulty with USB3 compatibility, there is a USB3 firmware update, but the update only functions on Windows Vistaǝ. This MB does ship with revision "F1" BIOS, and as noted by others it will not recognize a six-core CPU with out a BIOS update to revision "F2". Not a issue for me as I bought an affordable 4-core CPU. |

Fantastic price.Quickly!Stable!Overclocks nicely.Solid attributes.DDR3USB3Excellent looking.Great accessories and documentation.Supports new hexacore AMD CPU'sDual BIOS! Not Crossfire.Southbridge constantly runs hot C-81C)Have to apply for a rebate instead of being discounted. I was utilizing the AM2+/DDR2 version of this similar board (without the USB3.) It was a wonderful board, but when my wife required a newer (non-gaming) PC for photographic editing, she got my older mobo and I got this! The only factor I could say negative about either one of these boards is the Southbridge temperature is constantly high, but so far they've by no means died or even seemed to suffer any ill effects.I extremely advocate this motherboard and would not hesitate to buy again. |

Worked quite beautifully while it lasted.Type of a fairly blue color. Completely shut off and refused to perform immediately after 16 hours of use. Will not even turn on. Right after attempting to fix this irritating concern, I realized that Gigabyte's consumer service fairly substantially sucks. Keep this in mind ahead of invest in. |

-Lots of attributes.-Nice OC capabilities.-Installed without having a hitch.-Fairly low cost for such a nice board.-Dual BIOS chips in case you mess one up. Despite repeated requests, it will not wash my car. The north bridge seems to run fairly hot. 80-81C from what I've observed so far, it doesn't fluctuate much. Hasn't affected performance in any way, and it hasn't melted but so I'm going to assume that's what it was developed to do. Just appears a tad warm. |

-Price-USB three.-Trustworthy-Unlocked phenom II 555-Layout (smaller than ATX... you loose few screws, but excellent for tight situations) -"optional characteristics" (esata, sata3, pci-e x4ቬ, integrated GPU)-south bridge(?) I bought one for the loved ones pc and I am fully satisfied. I was able to unlock each cores of a Phenom II 555 and to run at declared timings an OCZ Gold 1600Mhz kit, at reduced voltage (quite superior, taking into consideration that OCZ memories are what they are...)I haven't tried any overclocking, but it's not the purpose of this board. With a RAID0 setup I got particularly deludent outcomes, but it might be a problem of the drives. |

Plenty of USB ports and USB three. firewire. Solid board. Don't think you can unlock Cores with this board due to the fact of the bios. Attempted but no luck perhaps someone else can. Had a poor sata cable came with the board. Hard drive acted flaky said tough drive error. Attempted my old sata cable and it worked like a charm. Good board but if you want to unlock cores do investigation prior to purchasing this board I still enjoy it but just can't unlock my Phenom II 550 black box. Believe AMD created Gigabyte disable that feature just something I read. |

A bang for the buck mobo. None. Regarding Phenom II X6 support, it appears that anyone that knows how to flash the BIOS, may well want to attempt the Gigabyte Q-Flash procedure, which would permit flashing using USB devices, in the course of the POST. "With Q-Flash you can update the method BIOS without having having to enter operating systems like MS-DOS or Window 1st". See page 62 of the manual for full instructions. This would be an option to making use of a non-X6 processor to flash the BIOS, first. In the past, I've flashed a BIOS on one more brand utilizing USB, so flashing using USB is absolutely a viable alternative. So for some, it may be a matter of merely downloading the BIOS update, loading it to a USB drive, booting up into Q-Flash, and updating the BIOS. If you want to update the BIOS, anyway, to get the board to support the X6 processor, it seems that going out to purchase one processor to get an additional 1 to work, is overkill. Of, course you ought to only update the BIOS, if you're experienced. |

Looks fantastic on paper - versatility, attributes, speed. Reliability: This was my 1st ground up computer construct, so I was fairly pleased when I connected power and all the lights went on and it booted to BIOS. I set the memory to the appropriate voltage Ƒ.65) and went to load Windows 7. Soon after overcoming Windows 7 inability to see the SATA drive (chkdsk, reformat) Windows loaded and I was running. Except it gave me frequent BSOD for several troubles. Tried to reboot the next morning and absolutely nothing but a 2 second beep every five seconds. Immediately after talking to Gigabyte tech assistance I swapped my memory sticks in the different slots. It was in a position to boot a couple occasions, then absolutely nothing for excellent. Based on Gigabytes conclusion that the memory was negative I RMA'd the memory with Newegg.com, and a week later (sound of warranty clock ticking in the background) I get the new memory loaded in. I'm skeptical that it was in fact the memory, so I load in 1 stick at a time. Extended story somewhat shorter, if I load memory into slots 1 or three it won't boot.
