GIGABYTE GA-870A-USB3 ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:none so far
Pros:Great future, excellent build possibility. Comment:
I bought this motherboard for my brother. He wanted to get something for a reasonable price. You can not go wrong with Gigabyte. This is what I have today. And what I had before too. I recomand to those who want a solid motherboard for a computer on a budget. |

GIGABYTE GA-870A-USB3 ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:Had a grounding issue.Got to install divers, old BIOS, ugly POST screen.
Pros:Works. Cheap.AM3+ ready, 4 DIMMs, 125W+ CPU support.Great back panel I/O shield. Comment:
Great motherboard, worked just fine. Bought for my cousin's $600 gaming build. In my opinion the best quality:price AM3+ ready motherboard currently available. There are some cheaper options, but this one has the benefit of supporting 125W higher end AMD processors and 4 DIMMs. I did have one issue where this motherboard had a grounding issue with a Haf 912 case. One of the motherboaard screw was so tightly screwed in that it caused a short and the system wouldn't boot. Other than that, it works perfectly fine. It does have the old BIOS instead of the newer, but not much better, UEFI. BIOS' POST screen is awful. Comes with two SATA cables and a nicely made I/O shield (which feels sturdy and is coloured/identified unlike most ASUS' back panel I/O shields which are a plain metal sheet). Installing motherboard drivers is required to have working ethernet and USB ports, in Windows 7, unlike most ASUS boards which are already supported - so don't throw away the included CD! |
a great mobo, good, easy to install, many connectors, and runs AMD Phenom ii X4 980 BE smoothly with no problems
