GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: Have not found any yet. Like any matx board, do not expect to add more than one pci card along with a video card.

Pros: Works perfect. Great graphics (for on-board). Great price. Extremely upgradeable. No problems.
Comment:
Easiest build yet. Took about 20 min to stuff everything into the case, hit the power button and bingo, everything did exactly what it was supposed to. I had some spare parts so I built a HTPC with it. As I didn't have a video card yet, I tried the onboard graphics. I was expecting the same old lame z#$ graphics as all the other onboard graphics I have tried. I almost wished I had not ordered the XFX 250GTS. I did notice a little degradation in a couple .mkv files, but wow! It played almost all my HD movies great! Video card arrived the next day, so I put it in and now everything is flawless. The bonus is, if I find a faster processor (even a 6core AMD), I can upgrade with no problem. Great board.

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: -northbridge thermal paste-no heatsink on the voltage regulators-bios auto voltage overvolts everything

Pros: -Inexpensive-785g integrated graphics-good bios selection
Comment:
Bought this on sale for 69.99 for htpc build. I got revision 1.3 with the second newest bios installedfired up first try no problem.Anyone who gets this should remove the northbridge heatsink, and clean off the hard crusty thermal paste and put some new stuff on, brought my temp down by 15C.Also you should go into the bios and set the voltage control to manual to help reduce the over voltage on the ram and cpu. Auto set my ram to 1.95V while on manual it dufaulted to 1.84V, and the cpu on auto was 1.41V and on manual, I reduced it to 1.185V and its stable AMD 255 at 3.1 GHz.Decent board, I'm happy with it.

Cons: None that I've noticed.

Pros: Reasonable price when on sale, full overclock options, stable.
Comment:
Stuck a 940BE and gskill ram in it all runs fine. for a matx it's got all you need. Hmm, 30 words or more not much else to say but it's darn good value and quality.

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: Clear CMOS jumper in bad place.Cannot be used as a Frisbee.

Pros: Great board for one heck of a price! Not the same color as in the picture, no yellow/red/green, all white/blue
Comment:
Overall the board is great. As stated above, I received revision 1.1, which did not have the bright colors in the picture! It had a great icy blue color scheme. The only issues I had was the Clear CMOS jumper is directly beside the PCI-E port (under the video card), also sata ports are nearly inaccessible with a long video card.Aside from that, great features, easy to overclock with, looks good.I recommend this board to budget builders and pros alike!

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: Hot NB

Pros: Cheap (when on sale)HDMI, DVI, Digital Optical etc...mATX
Comment:
Cheap (when on sale)HDMI, DVI, Digital Optical etc...mATX. I refitted a dell inspiron 518 Box that I blew the Mobo out of. Fits nice, paired the board with a AMD tri core processor (AMD Phenom X3 8750 Black Triple Core Processor Socket AM2+ 2.4GHZ OEM, 45$ off listed price) with 3GB of RAM keeping with the three's on this one. Runs great. Overclocks, Northbridge is a little hot, i installed an extra 120MM fan so this is a non issue now. This review was modfied by poster @ 06-23-10 03:19 PM

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: None

Pros: Price, Features, Durability, Quality, Onboard Radeon 3200 Video and Digital Optical Sound (Toslink). For an HTPC it's a WIN.
Comment:
I've built with this board a couple times and just ordered another one for my parents HTPC. It's hard not to pick this board for it's stability and simplicity. With an onboard video that plays HD content and actually ran games like Call Of Juarez etc...on low settings but playable for the kid, it's just easy to trust this board. I know it's pushing it to play games but to just fly around the web, watch movies and every general app you can toss at it your in for cheap. Also the onboard Digital Out Toslink and HDMI out are again the icing. I've tossed in a Radeon 4850 on one build that plays all games with ease.

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: Only 1 pci-e. I couldn't several of the gigabyte utility programs included to ever work properly.

Pros: This a great starter board for novice builders like myself. It has a bunch of features for the low price.Very easy set up and can support a pretty good system.
Comment:
Its an all around quality board for the price and is enough and then some for the average web surfer. Also since it requires ddr2 ram it enables you to get alot of the newer mb features without having to upgrade to ddr3 and spend a fortune just on ram. I had a good experience with this board and would recommend it.

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: Some problem with USB keyboard in BIOS?

Pros: Inexpensive for the feature setBoots really quickly
Comment:
I got this for my HTPC because of the 785 chipset. It has a very good set of features for a motherboard that price. It boots also very quickly (the fastest I have seen to so far of all motherboards I owned, which is at least a dozen).I have a problem with it detecting correclty my Logitech Wireless USB keyboard when I go into the BIOS: it sometimes doesn't work. However it works fine during standard operation (outside of the BIOS), so I don't really mind.

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: only 2 pci slots

Pros: good video for an onboard use wont run high games of course, lots of sata connections, has the hdmi and optical out and lots of usb is always needed
Comment:
its a small board only 2 pci slots and if you use a video card it will cover up one pci most times, leaving only 1 and then its right next to the heat from a video card, in one case it caused wireless net card to get hot and had to switch to exterior wireless via usb, price is good

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: Gigabyte, in general, doesn't have as good of a BIOS team as ASUS, and doesn't update  their BIOS as much.

Pros: Fantastic, affordable mATX board. AMD 785G chipset is even more solid than the 780G ones.
Comment:
Great, stable, solid, affordable AMD motherboard. Supports all Athlon II's and Phenom II's. eSATA, and the combined legacy keyboard/mouse ports are a nice touch, for universal compatibility.

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: None

Pros: FeaturesCan unlock coresPrice
Comment:
This is easily the best budget AMD you can buy right now. It has a good IGP with full decoding for high definition video (unlike 760G), 4 memory slots, 5 SATA ports, eSATA, FireWire, S/PDIF, all for under $70 after mail-in rebate. One thing to note is that it uses DDR2 and not DDR3. Though DDR2 is cheaper right now, down the road it will definitely get more expensive. And if AMD drops the DDR2 memory controller on their future chips, then CPU support will take a hit as well.

Pros: I ordered MA785GM-US2H and x2 5000+ , Had successfully unlocked the 2 extra cores,A nice solid board, with plenty of performance for the price. It may not be DDR3, but for a bargain Phenom build this fits the bill perfectly.

I haven't been able to try out many of the features of this board yet, but the experience has been a pleasant one. Booted up first go and been running fine since. It comes with audio, video, lan and a ton of ports, esata, usb, hdmi.Felt like a solid board, comes with good features which made it a great choice for my HTPC.The HDMI out is a fantastic feature and I'm glad it takes DDR2.If you're looking at making a HTPC and have some old parts kicking around, this should be on your short list.I managed to get this in a bundle deal and have no regrets.I'll definitely look at Gigabyte when i purchase my next gaming mobo.

Cons: None to speak of.

Pros: Great value. Solid hardware. Decent layout.

I fried my Gateway desktop's motherboard trying to flash it... and it was the best thing that I've done in years! I grabbed this motherboard and tossed it in... and my performance has increased across the board. I did have a small issue of it failing to boot every second time in AHCI mode... but the latest bios fixed that (good thing this has a dual bios to rescue me next time!).

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:None really. I was surprised there was only one PS/2 connection

Pros:4 DIMM slots, Lots of BIOS settings, including ACC to unlock cores. Great onboard video (compared to others). HDMI output. Comes with 2 SATA cables.
Comment:
I purchased this board along with a Phenom II 550 hoping to unlock the extra 2 cores in the CPU. I can't unlock the cores, but the board/CPU combination is excellent, and I got what I paid for. Another reason I "splurged" on this board instead of some of the even cheaper boards is the fact that it has 4 DIMM slots. I have lots of 1GB DDR2 DIMMs around and this was an easy way to have 4GB instead of having to buy new RAM. I'm not using the onboard video as I have an 8800 GT in it right now, but I may end up letting the kids have that card for games in one of their systems, and I'll still be able to play the few old games that I enjoy. There are lots of overclocking options on this board, especially for such an inexpensive one. I would recommend this board to anyone. This review was modfied by poster @ 02-27-10 06:21 PM

Comment:
I put DDR2 as a weakness, but its not really one. DDR2 and 3 wouldn't make much of a difference, its just that with DDR3 you are a little more future proof. I have yet to use the the computer to display 1080p content, but the integrated graphics seem quite good, was able to play a few games with pleasing results.
