GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:- None that i could think of
Pros:- Very nice layoud- Nice colors- Solid!- Scalable for an M-ATX board Comment:
I bought this board for a new built with Windows 7. Installed the board, Athlon II X2 240 CPU, WD SATA hard drive, 2GB G.Skill RAM and booted flawlessly on the first shot. Good amount of options on the BIOS. I have build many computers from scratch and i found this board very solid and high quality built. I'm sure it will last for years. Highly recommended for a budget built. Oh, and the integrated video card is enough for Windows 7 and gives a windows experience of 4.44. Not too bad but forget about gaming heavy with the onboard video though. |

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:none
Pros:GREAT PRICE, lots of plugs, lots of oc function in bios, ability to unlock 4th core Comment:
This is one hell of a board. Gigabyte really put lots of stuff on their boards. This board can unlock amd cores, and has alot of bios funcions you can only find in expensive full size boards. Lots of usbs, great layout to fit all the slots for your build. |

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:Support with Win7
Pros:Cheap, robust, onboard video is good Comment:
Bought the board because Gigabyte is a well known brand. The issue so far has been Win7 64 bit support. After going asleep for an extended time, it will not "wake up". Apparently the latest bios was supposed to resolve this issue, but doesnt. Played around with bios and windows settings with no success. |

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:-Different Bios setup / areas than the Asus I am accustomed to.
Pros:-4 DDR2 Slots, 5 SATA, 1 Esata, HDMI, Firewire, solid heatsink, solid capacitors-Price was nice, $85.99 Comment:
Similar to the Asus M3A78-EM mobo's that I've got over the past year (6 of them to be exact). decided this would be a change. Similar board with similar results. Used as a non-gaming computer, but has ability to play 1080p movies without shutter. Great Buy. |

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:For the price.... none (4 usb's is too bad,but M-ATX board...what can you expect)
Pros:Gigabyte qualityM-ATX board with 4 dimm slotsHDMI Comment:
This board is just awesome. M-atx board with 4 dimm slots and hdmi is hard to find. Pricematch this thing for $80-85 bucks, and you are laughing. Used for a budget build, but quite happy with it. Could use more usb's, but they can be added anywhere. |

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:For the price? None, you want more features you pay more and this one has everything I need.
Pros:Great Video, good connections, gigabyte quality, works great with Ubuntu 9.1 Beta. Comment:
Runs Linux Ubuntu Karmic Koala Beta like a champ with my AMD Regor 245. I have it in a Antec NSK1380 case with OCZ ram and a Scythe Big Shuriken heat sink and it idles at 35C. Yes you have to set ram speeds manually to run at 1066 as you do with any board, not a weakness but a fact of life. NCIX sale flyer, price match and express RMA make them #1. Why shop anywhere else? |

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:Probably can use better heatsink on north/south bridge, can get hot. Extra fan recommended. HDMI does not support 7.1ch, buyer who is looking for this feature watch out.
Pros:Very feature rich, stable under load, not picky about power supply it seem, fastest integrated graphic on the market Comment:
Got the board, installed with a sparkle 350w with only a 4pin CPU plug (this board have 8 pin, but usually 4 pin works) I have left around, 4 Gigs of ram 2x Corsair XMS2 (Which seem to be running at "Unganged" mode and not deal channel, will investigates later ) and boots into Windows XP SP3 without the slightest issue. It boots very fast and runs thing at fairly respectable speed considers everything in onboard. Runs fairly high 1080p video over network without much issue, seem to be fairly smooth. Sound fine as well. Have not try HDMI to TV yet, but won't be needing 7.1ch anyway. So far seem very stable under some basic testing. will do more and report in forum if I found any problem. |

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:Wider than most mATX boards
Pros:Great overclocker and unlocker (supports ACC) Comment:
This board is an excellent mATX board for overclocking and unlocking (see my comments under the Phenom II 550 processor, unlocked to X4 and overclocked to almost 4 GHz). Compared to the GA-MA78GM-S2H board, this board uses a couple watts less of power (everything else kept the same). |

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:ddr2Unfortunatly placed sata connectors
Pros:good integrated videomany features Comment:
For a budget mobo, this thing has tonnes of features and good integrated video that is better than most, though still incapable of serious gaming. should be great for htpc duty. though i have not yet tried to have it crank out 1080p video, i think it should be able to and theres hdmi! The downside of this board is that its obviously a mATX board and certain questionable placements were made like the sata connects directly behind the pci-e, which will be blocked by some long video cards. anyhow, i still think this is a pretty good board if you are not into gaming. |
I've been using Gigabyte motherboards for my last few builds for friends and family and products like this are the reason why. Feature-rich (HDMI, e-SATA, decent amount of overclocking features in BIOS, to name a few) at such a low price. Onboard video isn't great but does pretty well too (handled 1080p movies no problem, and L4D at low settings with about 30fps lol). Overall, amazing product!
