GIGABYTE GA-MA790FXT-UD5P ATX DDR3 AMD Motherboard
Cons:None unless your a windowed case person and don't like blue.
Pros:Top of the line 790fx chipset, cheaper than the Asus equivalent.Loads of sata ports that are positioned well. Comment:
Running a 955be in this, solid board at a good price. Its got pretty much every feature you could ask for.Dual 16x pci-e slots for crossfire goodness. |

GIGABYTE GA-MA790FXT-UD5P ATX DDR3 AMD Motherboard
Cons:Default bios is very buggy.
Pros:Very feature full.Excellent performance. Comment:
I bought this board for a new system and so far I have not been disappointed.System:Mobo: GA-MA790FXT-UD5PCPU: Phenom II X4 810Ram: 2x2G Patriot PC3-10666 (1333mhz) h 7-7-7-20 / 1.7vDisk: OCZ Vertex 30G + Seagate 7200.10 320GPerformance is excellent given the cpu.The only thing to watch out for is the BIOS. If you do have initial problems with this board, things like the ethernet not working correctly, or the bios hanging, try to update to the latest bios. It disables the "Green Lan" stuff, which seems to have caused no end of issues with the last bios version. Once you do update however, this board is very nice. |

GIGABYTE GA-MA790FXT-UD5P ATX DDR3 AMD Motherboard
Cons:FP audio connector could have been placed at the front of the motherboard instead of the back.
Pros:Posted with a Phenom II 955 out of the box without a bios update! LOTS of sata II ports, The 2 E-Sata ports and the molex connector on the back of your PC is great for testing/cloning drives without the need for an external enclousure, Power, Reset and clear CMOS buttons on the motherboard itself for the bench OC'ers Comment:
I've finally gotten my Phenom II 955 installed on this motherboard with 4x2GB OCZ Platinum DDR3-1600 7-7-7-24Shortly after running a BIOS update I didn't get a warning notice for upping the voltage on my RAM to spec of 1.9V but I've kept them at 1.85 and they're running at rated spec now, OC'ing options in the bios are fairly straightforward and user friendly |
Board has been solid, has everything I wanted in a board and more. Many (10) sata connectors. This board was not my first choice in a MB... But out of my 3 choices it was the only one that would take my current videocard, with its huge cooler/fan, and still have room to fit in my 2 older pci cards... which was something I could not do without. This board has been great... sry, can not comment on OC'ing. Have not tried OC'ing yet.
