Superb motherboard, Newgg's packaging was extremely properly performed. No harm to the box or anything else. Shipping time was quickly and the customer service was astounding. Will defiantly be a future customer to right here. As well fantastic to be true!.. But it is true! It was my very first time ordering from newegg. The cpu and ram failed to charge to the credit card from errors on my part the first time. I sent a e mail explaining my situation and canceled the order then re-ordered it correctly and i recieved an e mail the next day from newegg. Incredibly pleased about the consumer service.Lengthy live Newegg!

When it functions, it works *very* well. Incorporated application is superb and the placement of issues on the board itself is well completed. It also appears extremely good! I guess Gigabyte has a reputation for an "endless boot" problem - which is what happened to me. Had a perfectly wonderful working personal computer for various months. In the course of the middle of playing a game, the pc suddenly rebooted.Given that then it will get to the Windows loading screen and then just reboot. Practically nothing I do (clearing CMOS, reseating all the several elements) appears to influence this.BTW: I have a 700W PSU with no SLi that has been functioning perfectly fine for years.Wrote to Gigabyte help and have not heard back from them. Appears like I am out 赲. Manufacturer Response:Thank you for your comments. Truthful and constructive opinions are usually welcome. We apologize for your difficulty with your Gigabyte solution. Fantastic board when running. Has all the features I want - a lot of USB2Ǚ ports, lots of SATA3ǜGbps ports. Great for a DAW. - Intermittent reboots. - Intermittently freezes at "Verifying DMI Pool Data" on boot.- In the past week, I started getting the "Recovering Lost DRAM size" error on boot.- 4GB of 6GB installed detected in BIOS.* Essentially the same problems reported by other customers. A internet search turns up only Gigabyte X58A series motherboards when searching "Recovering Lost DRAM Size" I'm sorry to see 23% of other folks who bought this board gave it a single star and have RMA'd it for the identical exact reasons. I've had it nearly 4 months, so I guess it's as well late to return it by way of Newegg. I'm hoping I don't need to buy one more motherboard just to keep operating if this one needs to be returned to the manufacturer. Manufacturer Response:Thank you for your comments. I like the further oz's of copper to aid dissipate heat. Has assistance for newest standards on processor and sata and usb. Like the usb charge on off headers. RAM help is somewhat restricted. I was unaware of the supported brands for the speed ranges and the RAM i ordered cannot run at 1600 as i planned. Make sure you verify out the documentation on their internet site for RAM assistance. They do assistance the fast clock speeds but only for certain brands. Other than that, good board, not taking an egg away for my error not researching throughly. The ASUS X58 may have much more assistance.

Does every thing I needed and far more, except... Proper now I'm in the approach of figuring out why my bios adjustments wont be saved. Keep attempting to modify boot order, and the mobo won't don\'t forget the alterations previous the immediate reboot. Guess I'll just move the secondary drive to a various sata port. It will repair the boot troubles, hopefully i wont have to transform the bios anytime soon. It appears like Ive usually had Gigabyte solutions. Old pc was virtually solely Gigabyte (mobo, case, watercooling, 8800GTX) and just now replaced most of that stuff with... more Gigabyte. Not intentional, just look to usually do what I want, have very good testimonials and be the ideal cost. Hopefully I can figure out this bios issue although, bring about Gigabyte has been seriously great to me more than the previous decade.New:i7-950 w/ zalman cpu coolerGigabyte GTX 850Critical Sata III 128 GB SSD24 GB Kingston RAMRe-employed:Soundblaster audioGigabyte Sumo Case 860 watt power provide1TB Seagate HD for storageThanks Newegg and props to all the reviewers out there assisting me to figure out what i want/need.

Solid motherboardFantastic cost and capabilities None I have the rev.1 board. I have had it for a year and have had no problems with it aside from the intermittent electronic squeal it will from time to time create. Occasionally I could get it to go away by changing some of the voltage settings and C states but it would pop up just about every when in a although. I noticed that it would disappear when I played 3D intensive games. The most recent BIOS (F6) even so has nuked the squeal.

Located a negative video driver and thought I had it fixed. Worked for about 3 weeks then BSOD once more. Now, when it is running it's quite unstable. Appears to be getting worse. I do not own this board, I have been looking at largely ASUS boards. This board shows up at the top rated of the "Best Ratings" list of 1366 motherboards incorrectly. Had to rate this item but don't want to detract from ratings so I gave it a five. If you appear at the consumer evaluations for this solution you will see that the ratings for this board are horrible even though NewEgg shows it on near best of the listing for 1366 boards while numerous of the boards showing beneath it have so significantly better ratings. Most of the ASUS 1366 motherboards have significantly larger ratings. If you just appear at the top rated Intel 1366 motherboards as shown by NewEgg, you will be duped. This time NewEgg got it wrong.I am a pleased and long time NewEgg client. Just wanted to point this out.

Haven't been able to really use it so far, so none. Installation/Build of a new process with this MB is a main PITA. "BootMgr Missing" is apparently a relatively widespread problem when attempting to install a RAID config. Nevertheless in the method of troubleshooting, but have POURED hours and hours into this make to get it to function. Wish I would have purchased an ASUS board (like I commonly do) . . . reside and study.

I wrote a 1 egg critique at initially. When I got it the first time there was no post, and came with bent pins. I sent into newegg and they wouldn't replace it. Then I sent it into gigabyte and they repaired and RMA'd the board and it came back like brand new. Plugged it in and every single booted and posted. All my RAM was detected and almost everything works great. Had to adjust RAM speed in BIOS to 1600mhz. Didn't register at appropriate speed. Minus the original complications with the board it has been operating effectively and am really satisfied now.

Does anything it says it will, plus. Boots on 1st try right after install, WICKED Quickly, and enables for RAID ,1,five, and even 10 on the Intel controller ƓGBPS), which I had zero troubles setting-up.Board recognized 12Gigs of Patriot PC12800 memory (in white slots) without manual configuration.Excellent overclocking computer software comes on mobo utility disk. One click and carried out. Lots of wonderful security and recovery features.Overall, a effectively built board that has advanced functionality and flexibility. The Marvell 6GBPS SATA controller only has 4 SATA ports, and only configs to RAID or 1.I hooked-up four identical WD 500GB Caviar Black drives...and the controller only recognized TWO (Before and following Win 7 installation). The other two had been displaying-up as SCSI drives..which they were absolutely not. Either way, the Marvell controller wants perform. I would get pleasure from the additional speed (system specs out at 7.8 for memory, 7.5 for processor (I-7 950) and 7.9 for graphics (Nvidia 560ti), but only 6. for disk array speed, even with writeback caching turned on. They are 6.0gbps drives, operate perfectly with Intel management application, just don't have the throughput of the 6gbps controller in my chosen configuration, and obviously can\'t move the array to the Marvell controller with out losing the data stripe. So, Gigabyte...please update the Marvell controller to handle far more advanced RAID arrays or a lot more than two drives in RAID config. so we lowly customers can get the most out of the board.

I am extremely happy that this mobo supports DOLBY DIGITAL Reside mainly because of the Realtek ALC889 audio chipset. I downloaded the updated drivers when I built the machine, and the package included the Dolby Digital Reside application. It encodes the separate channels into Dolby in actual-time, delivering true surround sound via optical or digital coax. Now, when I launch a game, my receiver switches more than to dolby surround rather than pro logic/stereo. It also functions good for Turtle Beach or Tritton surround sound gaming headsets. This mobo has some genuinely great capabilities for the value. I talked my buddy into getting it simply because I am seriously satisfied with it I dont truly like the clr-cmos button on the back panel. The PCI/PCI express layout prohibits some video/expansion card configurations. But I am just nitpicking.

This mobo has worked just fine for me.It has every thing I wanted, function-wise, which include an IDE port. It overclocks properly., with plenty of BIOS possibilities. This mobo apparently has some issues or it wouldn't have received 25% of the reviews with one egg.The true purpose for this writeup is that, in reading Newegg evaluations, Gigabyte responds to the one-egg ratings. In my opinion, this tells me the manufacturer tries to back its goods, even if they have complications. That's much better than some other individuals, that ignore their difficulties. I will not acquire a different ASUS board, because of the way they handled two RMA's. (ASUS values its policies more than typical sense and excellent judgement and its buyers' difficulties, causing me months and months of unnecessary aggravation). 1 complaint: The fins on the aux heat sinks are not lined up to pass cooling air from a horizontal CPU cooler. When airflow from a cooler blows against the mobo, this really should be utilized, by positioning the fins on the aux heat sinks parallel to this cooling airflow, to enable, and not block, this airflow. I will not acquire an additional ASUS board, mainly because of the way they handled two RMA's. (ASUS values its policies more than prevalent sense and fantastic judgement and its clients' difficulties, causing me months and months of unnecessary aggravation). I would not count on this from GigaByte.
