Hackintosh ought to have. BIOS has a lot of choices. Does everything you could think about it needing to do. Comes with four SATA cables. Plays nice with Mac! Windows runs great too. None. Mine worked with out concern. I've by no means had trouble with Gigabyte. Some suggest they purposely attempt to make their boards Hackintoshable. Who knows if that's true. But they definitely work. |

USB three., lots of overclocking options, has the stability you'd anticipate from Gigabyte (good). SATA3 Marvell controller, Long Extended Long posts. I have five hard drives installed and it is 40 seconds just before I see a Windows 7 logo. When I drop my optical drives out Ɠ) and 3 of the tough drives the post time is less than 20 seconds. I have 2x C300 128GB SSDs in Raid (bought this back in Nov. 2010 when there wasn't much info about these boards). Read speeds are 220MB/s. When making use of them on the Intel Sata2 controller the read speed is 285MB/s. It has been 6 months and drivers are nonetheless being blamed but no one is carrying out anything about it. Do NOT use the SATA 3 controller for a RAID setup the efficiency is extremely under par. Either purchase a Raid controller card or use the SATA two controller on board. IF you want to use the Marvell controller please stick to one quickly drive (not tested) but I'm confident will perform a lot better (can't get a lot worse). |

Simple to installAll connections clearly markedAll components recognized and worked upon very first startup except for USB three. ports. USB 3. ports didn't function at initial. Had to uninstall and reinstall driver to get them to function. The USB 3. ports actually transfer information far more slowly than the USB 2. ports. I have tested this numerous occasions and the USB 3. ports are consistently slower. Possibly I'm just not carrying out something proper. Fantastic board at a good price. |

Has six ram slots, numerous, quite a few SATA ports, with 6gps and 3gps. Has all the spots for computer fans that I necessary. Post boot up is fantastic, never ever had something compile my programs so fast.Has an IDE port!, that's actually nice for me, that required 1 for a precise DVD reader. When I installed windows 7 64bit, in the efficiency test it had read 64bit OS, but was not accurate, 64 bit. I'm not confident how that had occurred but this is the truth.Slow boot up in BIOS,too numerous checks in the BIOS. Had a incredibly small # of BIOS errors when returning from hibernate mode. Again I've had perhaps three more than a 1 month+ period but they are there. Will use a single high efficiency graphics card (at 16x), If i use two, then both will run at 8x... This motherboard is my 1st gaming board. So of course I like it but it has it's limitation. No troubles with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145295ram sticks, I see that a prevalent difficulty. My suggestion on the other hand go with Asus. Subsequent super Pc I will have all Asus. |

Lots of goodies. The board is nicely built. It would not POST. Reboots each 3 seconds. RMA'd for a refund. What must I get that is comparable? Absolutely nothing evaluations at five stars that has very a lot exposure to the public. I produced the mistake of not reading the negative critiques just before ordering. I hoped I would be one of the lucky ones, but nope. I tried other power provide and memory with the same result. Manufacturer Response:Thank you for your comments. usb 3.2x copper PCB The board wont recognize 3 channel memory. I've attempted with Corsair 2GBx3 and Gskill 4GBx3 and both trigger complications. I get a message in the course of boot stating, "recovering lost dRam size" and then the machine restarts. This occurs various occasions just before it skips the process and boots commonly and shows 12GB memory installed but only 8GB usable. Bios shows 8GB as nicely when it ought to show 12GB. I've tested the memory with Memtest86+ and its all operating correctly. I'm not sure if the challenge is bent CPU pins or some thing bios associated but either way it sucks. Some quality control would be tremendously appreciated. Also, the bios list on the gigabyte web page is confusing and contradicts the @BIOS plan they ask you to use for bios flashing. Their web-site shows the newest bios as FF9 even though the @BIOS program shows the newest bios as FE. their site doesn't even mention BIOS FE. Manufacturer Response:Thank you for your comments. Every thing Good about the UD series at an even much better price! doesnt have two Ethernet ports. But hey, thats 1 of the techniques they kept the price down! All the other Motherboard producers take the capability to overclock thier motherboards effectively when you go to the lower priced boards. Gigabyte just took away the things that most individuals dont care about anyway, A couple of LEDs and even the Ethernet port. But without Taking away its Capacity to OVERCLOCK to the same speeds On AIR COOLING. I am sure there is some suffering way up at the LN2 voltage range( meaning that once you get up that high the a lot more high-priced boards will carry out better due to the fact of A lot more Power Phases) But gigabyte did not take the RANGE of adjustments away in this board so you can clock it up to 4.5 or four.6 on air with no worrying about needing more voltage then say.... UD5 , 7 or 9!!Always a fantastic job Gigabyte! |

It's fast, it takes a huge chip. I bought this board and it had sound and stability concerns. I RMA'd it, and the second one has sound issues...HISS in the sound. 90% of the time, when starting up from a cold boot, I get the bios error on the screen that my personal computer had beginning concerns from overclocking then I have to go in and get to the bios screen and hit F10 again and reboot the factor. Note that I don't have to alter any settings, just go to the bios and reboot from there and my settings are back and the error isn't. BUT I did not overclock on either!! The ram is flawless, 12GB of XMS3 Corsair. It's really annoying getting to do that. Do not buy this board. As an additional poster stated, there are rather a few other boards with better end user ratings, all else getting about the similar. I'd enjoy for Tom's Hardware to run some much more tests and comparisons of 1366 boards now and post the results, given that this was supposedly their "board of the year" last year. Betcha it's not any much more. There are just too several poor ones, two in a row for me tells me there are some severe style flaws the business should be looking at. sounds good on paper BUT that is were it stops! Over the last 1 1ǘ years I have had to send this MoBo back five occasions. Consumer Servise and Tech Assistance SUCKS One board was returned to me with a huge glob, the size of a quarter, of who knows what stuck to it. It takes a RMA at least a month to be returned. A number of of my questions had been in no way answered on their tech chat. By the way, they only answer one question so dont bother confusing them with a second one. When I get this subsequent board back I am not bothering connecting it. I am going to see how far I can throw it. What do you believe ? side arm throw for the distance or an overhead for speed into a brick wall? In no way Buy GIGABYTE Manufacturer Response:Thank you for your comments. - Very first of all, this is five star board, make no mistake about it. For the cost/performance its top notch.- Its a excellent price for such a wonderful X58 board.- For those who fancy the overclocking, go a head. This keeps my i7 920 @ 4.two GHz HT on @ 1.321v. Its a decent chip, but also excellent board.- Realtek ALC889 / Realtek 8111E.- Plenty of Sata and USB ports. - None that I can feel of, as long as you've got "FF" BIOS, you're superior to go!- People who are rating 1-two star simply because the motherboard was dead on arrival or not posting most likely have some other issues, eg. having their memory in slots 2ǚǜ (blue). This causes no post still the board is working perfectly fine.- You can ignore 90% of the 1-two-3 star ratings of the most part. Some people have been experiencing bad tech support. I can't judge that due to the fact I have no experiencing from their tech support, I only construct. As a computer system technician I'm creating about two-3 i7 computers each and every day, 6 days a week, those that I'm primarily building are with the latest i7 processor (eg. currently it is i7 960), Mushkin 6GB is the extremely typical ) but up to 24GB. Any graph card from nVidia EN210 up to GTX580. And last but not least X58A-UD3R Rev two..Figuring that I'm making about 50-70 of these computers every month for over a year now, I'm usually stunned how small they are failing. The only problem I've had was with the previous bios "FA" and "FB", but the most current 1 "FF" is performing wonderful issues.I decided for the enjoyable of it, to see the Newegg rating of the board since I use Newegg a lot to help me figuring out of items are worth acquiring and to see problems users are experiencing. I can verify that most of the men and women who are having complications with this board have low tech expertise and blame the board for it, in my expertise you cant go wrong with it if you know what your doing.I've ran out of words. |

FancyLots of functions RMA'd 3 times, never got a working board Newegg seemed okay with refunding me my dollars right after I RMA'd it all the way across the nation three times and left myself without having a fully working computer for over two monthsGigabyte seemed satisfied with blaming the issue on me, in spite of the reality that my crummy Intel board (that I swapped out repeatedly to have some sort of a working computer system soon after every single board failed) worked fine with the very same handling I was giving the Gigabyte board.I picked memory from the compatibility list, I used a processor I KNEW worked since it worked in a buddy's machine. If you get a working board, I'm Certain you will really like it. This board has all the capabilities i was seeking for, with lots of room for upgrades later down the road. Everything was an uncomplicated and smooth setup, other then the memory auto detected at 667 rather of the 1600 it was suppose to be. Just had to enable XMP and it auto detected the suitable speeds. Read all the highs and lows in the reviews here, and i still decided to go with this board over the other people. Major reason being was i wanted a board with a ATA connector for my old school dvd burner and harddrive i salvaged from my old construct. Glad i stuck with this board since it was the easiest construct i have accomplished so far. |

Ƒ) The motherboard BIOS has far more configurable selections than I've ever observed before; the capabilities this supplies would allow me to tweak just about almost everything.ƒ) The huge quantity of SATA ports is superb.Ɠ) Properly thought out layout for ports and pins; cabling wasn't an problem at all and the inside of my program is refreshingly tidy as a result.Ɣ) Highly expandable, and supporting upto 24GB of memory is mind boggling. Not that I'll ever use that a great deal, but it's still nice to have. Ƒ) The SATA ports point towards my drive bays giving me little cable room to function with; however a smaller price to pay for such an exceptional motherboard. Blue is fairly. |
