GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:
Can be fussy
Pros: One of the cheapest X58 boards on the market Comment:
Overall I like the board, but it has some quirks.Have ran into weird cold boot issues where the board will try 2-3 POST starts before it actually goes. ONLY happens when overclocked, did not have this happen at stock. Overall I am happy with it but it can be a little strange. You get what you pay for! Cons:
None
Pros: Cheap6 slots of ram D:StableGigabyteVery Hackintosh Friendly Comment:
BOught this for a customer, it worked great and overclocks very well. It is one of the cheapest and well priced X58 motherboards out there, so if you are going to get one, get this one. I wouldn't consider using a GA-X58-UD7 because that is smply just adding for overclocking. this works fine for anyone who wants an i7, but wants to keep it simple. |

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:
None.
Pros: Full-featured x58 board for a very low price. No more random colors... Comment:
Great board for an i7 build; top notch quality and nice layout, possible to go for 3 video cards while adding a PCI-e 1x card at the same time. All the connectors are easily accessible even with long video cards and it all simply fits in nicely. Lastly, you can't really beat the amount of features you get for that price; it's simply amazing. |

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:
got a DOA (but good service from gigabyte)
Pros: Looks good, usb 3, always on usb charger ports Comment:
I usually don't have problems from gigabyte parts, but I did with this one. It does happen, no company is perfect, but at least, they offered me a great service and offered and RMA without too much efforts on my part. |

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:
A bit noisy
Pros: Lots of features for price, software has some uses. Comment:
Great motherboard for the price, I got this with my i7 and am very happy. I can here some noises when using the computer (especially when scrolling down a page) but it is minor. (I have my computer sitting right next to my monitor.) I installed this motherboard in an Antec 300 case no problem. |

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:
- BIOS can be intimidating
Pros: - Lots of features and ports Comment:
All around excellent motherboard for the price and best matched with a core i7. For people having trouble installing an operating system make sure to disable "CPU Enhanced Halt" and "C3/C6/C7 State Support" on the BIOS. Additionally install the OS from a SATA drive and not an IDE. |

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:
One PCI x1 Slot is useless with larger cards
Pros: 10 SATA Ports, USB3, SATA3 Comment:
Purchased this board and a i7 950 to go into a storage server. Overall, it's a good quality board. Gigabyte has traditionally given more stuff for the price, such as SATA ports, USB ports and eSATA ports. This board is no different. It comes with a total of 10 SATA ports, a whole pile of USB3 ports, as well as SATA3. While building the server though, I found that the heatsink next to the first PCI x1 slot is too high, meaning a long card won't fit, rendering the slot nearly useless. In my particular case, that meant installing a dual-port NIC as opposed to two individual PCI x1 NICs. Probably not a big issue for the majority of users. |

This is an awesome motherboard with a lot of good features. It is priced well and supports triple crossfire/SLI and includes a lot of legacy ports for those in the dark ages. It is running my i7 950 great, and I am hooked on Gigabyte boards for life now |

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:
-Would have to take my sound card out if I ever decide on SLI
Pros: -Easy to configure and overclock-Compatible with 1600 memory and i7 CPU out of the box Comment:
Feels like a solid, well-built motherboard, perfect for gaming rigs. Using this with an i7 930 and 6GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 memory and it's running flawlessly. Gigabyte's SMART6 software lets you overclock easily and without problems, but a manual overclock will usually yield the best results. |

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:
* None I can think of now
Pros: * Lots of premium features- SATA3, USB3, etc* Lots of SATA ports* Good build quality* Good price compared to others with similar features Comment:
I purchased this motherboard from NCIX almost 3 months ago but never got around building my new computer until recently. The motherboard I received from NCIX was Rev.2. Installation was easy and locating the necessary information from the user manual was quite easy. My entire desktop build was very smooth. No DOA parts. No parts required RMA.I installed this motherboard in the Antec 300 case along with an Antec Trupower New 750 PSU (both of which I have also purchase from NCIX). Everything worked flawlessly. This motherboard does supposedly support 3x / tri crossfire / SLI. With the Antec 300 case where the PSU is at the bottom, doing a 3x / tri (double slot) card setup might be a bit tight. The last card will basically have its VGA fan sitting next to or even touching the top of the PSU. In my case, the fan of the Antec Trupower New 750 PSU fan. |

I purchased this MB (Rev.1.0) for a new PC build approx 3 months ago. It has been working great and I have not personally experienced the high pitched whine that you hear some people reporting. I have DDR3 1600 RAM and an i7 930 CPU in it. |

Really good board, tons of ports and expansion slots. Bought it as a semi-budge/gaming motherboard and it hasn't disappointed so far. Have not tried out the eSata yet but I would assume that it would work really well. |

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:
none
Pros: best bang for the buck, as far as X58 chipset motherboards go, when on sale. Gigabyte reputation and quality parts. Comment:
This board has everything I wanted, for a bargain price. Other boards with similar features ended up costing at least 30-50 bucks more, or had features I didn't need but was forced to pay more for. I am using this board with a core i7 cpu and it works great. Supports both dual channel and triple channel memory modes. Also supports SLI, which is what I'm using. Many SLI boards with fewer features still end up being similar in price to this board. Overall great buy, and great product quality. |

Cons:
-none encountered so far at the practical level-not the nicest motherboard to look at aesthetically
Pros: -sata 3.0-usb 3.0-good price Comment:
Probably the best value out of all the X58 chipset motherboards out there at the moment. Feature-packed with USB 3.0 and SATA 3.0, this will be good to go for any future upgrades.I loaded this up with an i7 930, and overclocking was easy as pie. |

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:
Placement of sata ports a bit poor.Bios is somewhat cumbesome to navigate. No support for DDR3 1600
Pros: Solid use of additional copper allows stronger overclocking.ReliableDual Bios incase you screw upUSB 3Sata 3USB power when offEasy to save and retrieve BIOS profilesAutomatically remembers last Bios settings after unsucessful post / crash Comment:
Despite not having officialy support for ddr3 1600 (only 1066, 1333, and 2000+) this is a quality board and just feels solid.Pushing a mild overclock on a i7 930 at 3.5Ghz no sweat. I'm only held back by my RAM.The additional use of copper in the PCB should help disperse heat more effectively. For the price, a great buy. |

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:
only 1 lan portvery loud whine
Pros: lots of sata portsusb3 Comment:
This is a great board for the price, with lots of features. Lots of sata ports, but only 2 sata3.But, watch out for a loud whine coming from the coils around the CPU, depending of your power supply. You may have to disable C1E in BIOS. You should not be supposed to do that. |

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:
When the same drives are attached using SATA2_0/1 ports, Windows 7 x64 setup crashes with Win7 blue screen, stop error 0x0000007F. That was before Win7 setup even presents the option to load additional drivers and before a list of available target drives is displayed.
Pros: Works very well with SATA drives attached to the basic-function SATA2_8/9 ports. Windows 7 Enterprise x64 installed without any difficulties. Comment:
Only two SATA-3 ports is an unexpected limitation. The hard drives attached to the ICH10R controller are not recognized if a DVD drive is attached to the same controller. That is a BUG per the manual and BIOS screens.Four of the on-board USB2 ports are share the same sockets as eSATA ports. USB keyboard and mouse are not enabled by default. |

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:
Gets very hot on the chip set heat sinks. The pretty metal bling over the two sinks block the air flow if you want to add a fan.
Pros: Great looking board, overclocks easily. Comment:
I had no trouble installing and overclocking this board (3.6ghz with a W3520, 3.8 puts the temps at 80c and that's too hot for me). However the heat sinks around the CPU get very hot. I have my CPU fan on suck (to remove as much heat as possible from around the board)[SI-128 with the 1366 adapter works great] but it doesn't provide enough cooling on the board surface. Gigabyte should provide a fan like ASUS does. Instead I used two small mini-kaze fans. I had to pull off the pretty metal tops to the heat sinks (they are just taped on and come off easily with a bit of prying). Then I mounted the mini-fans on the two large heat sinks. It didn't take much blowing to get the temperatures down significantly.I highly recommend you add some fans to those heat sinks. Just put your finger tips down near the bottom of the metal and you can feel the burning heat. The memory also gets hot so I recommend a memory fan if you want to keep your memory working for a reasonable time. Heat kills electronics!! |

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:
Audio ports stop working now and then
Pros: Support intel 6 cores.Preset overclocks.Lots of features. Comment:
Loved the overclock presets. Since I am at my first build and didn't really know how to overclock a cpu, I used the presets and find myself with a 3.52Ghz i7 930 (idle 49C). And I achieve that with the stock heatsink. Great feature. |
A great board at a great price. I have one and couldnt be happier. Dualbios rocks, eat your heart out Asus! :D
