GIGABYTE GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) GV-N450-1GI Video Card

I like this card its a vast upgrade from an ati 5670. I did not believe it would be that much much more of an upgrade but its substantial. Overclocking wise mine seems to be a good one on the ram. I can run at 1125mhz or 4500 efficient from the stock 3600 ram I am not locating a lot of more than that number. This also appears to give the greastest fps improve significantly far more than overclocking the core. I game at 1920x1080 so that may well be the memory bandwidth raise but its a lot of distinction overclocked. I am shooting to get the core stable but I am waiting on an arctic cooling accerlero twin turbo which seems to be stock on the sapphire and ecs cards and i asked the organization they said it fits. The stock cooler on this to me is loud as I came from an HIS silent cooler on my old ati card and the stock cooler handles the stock clocks fine but wont manage overclocking with out being close to the artifact limit and noise is too much. I flashed my bios to lock in my memory speed so i dont require msi afterburner to overclock it anymore but I also necessary to go into the bios to alter the voltage maximum so the slider in msi afterburner works appropriate. Once i uncover the max core with the new cooler ill locate what voltage i need and set that in the bios later. To test max overclocking I am employing OCCT for 30 mins which appears to tension the card to insane levels and then ill follow with furmark for 30 mins then gaming 1 hour. . |

Will deliver decent frame rates in most contemporary games (BF:BC2, Just Cause2, Metro 2033) at 1280x1024 with AA. Older DX9 or DX10 games play excellent maxed out (BFɆ, BF). Install was a breeze on Windows 7 x64 when employing the drivers from nVIDIA web site. Card has not gone above 60*C when gaming or benchmarking. MSI Afterburner plays well with this card. Low energy requirements and works with smaller high amperage PSU. Very good sized card may well block ports on smaller mobos. Has the funny warped PCB. Made for an interesting physical install of the board in the PC. Fan is noticeable when it spins up. Almost bought a HD5770. I'm nonetheless leary following owning a AIW 9600 and living in driver hell until I replaced it. If I really get the rebate, for 79.99, it's a good card if you don't game above 1680x1050. |

Simple install and setup, my first time installing a graphics card and it was quite straight forward. My 1st create has been running on-board graphics for the past couple of months until i could afford this and wow is it an improvement. Windows graphics score went from five.four - 7.1 and it bumped my ram score by 1. now that I don't have to dedicate any of my system memory.Lastly I'm able to connect my monitor with DVI/HDMI at full screen. Idles quite cool and for the duration of load gets up to perhaps 45-50c and that's with only the two stock exhaust fans on my Antec 300, I strategy on adding some intake so i can turn down the fan speed. My PC is significantly loader now but I did turn my case fans from medium to high so they are contributing as effectively. CS:S ran alright with my on-board gpu but wow has the experiences changed now that I can play on highest setting resolution and at about 120fps...Bought SC2 with this which was my major point of getting it, runs at about 45fps on ultra settings, just gorgeous. |

Awsome price, Does everything i want it to do from the green team. Pairing this with a 5870 and utilizing it for physx at the moment. Genuinely dont have significantly use for it other than Physx, I am acquiring the 6970 soon lets hope everything still works. I really just wanted a card for Physx, i located a newer Nvidia driver that supported the ATI and Nvidia on the identical motherboard and bam i had physx |

Upgraded my 5 year old pc from two x EVGA GeForce 7800GT SLi setup, to this single graphics card. Worked terrific, until I hit 3 months of employing the card. The graphics are completely garbled for any video games that I try to play. Waiting for Gigabyte customer support to RMA this card. This is my first Gigabyte video card, as I generally acquire Asus or eVGA which hasn't caused any complications for years on any of my machines. Depending on how the RMA procedure is, and how the replacement card goes, it may well be my last Gigabyte item. |

Quick card and in high-priced, generates graphics in games smoothly and beautifully.... when it works. I bought this card to go with a new higher power build, ran beautifully... for about 2 weeks. Then the crashing began, drivers fails, and nasty artifacting in heavy graphic games rendering the card practically useless. I tried reinstalling the drivers, worked beautifully for another week or so, then boom artifacting again. I repeated this method from driver disks, gigabytes internet site, nvidias site, and even attempted beta drivers, all did the very same, a week to a moth later I am reinstalling doing a secure mode removal of old drivers and reinstall. I have even tried reinstalling windows 7 to see if anyhting was becoming left behind. No changes, sent in for RMA, no word on what they did, appears they let it sit in thier warehouse for two weeks and just sent it back, as here I am again having the same concern. Sent another e-mail to thier TS to see if it can be resolved. I have long been a fan of Gigabyte, but this fiasco is changing my mind on that. I also know it IS the card as I can still run my sad little 8500 GT on it flawlessly (Granted slowly) but that is a waste of my method, running a gigabyte MB with SATA three, USB three, a hex core AMD T) SATA 3 drive, and an 8500 GT.... sad. Giving two eggs mainly because new egg rocks they got it out to me in less than a week |

great performance for the buck, i got it for 105$ on black Friday, Mini HDMI and two DVI ports (awesome) Really loud fan... i stopped the fan and i couldn't even hear my other case fans...i gave it a 4 star due to the fact i fixed it for now SEE BELOW The noise was from the fan cowl.. all i did was get rid of it and the noise level went down about 75%... awesome and it still stays cool. three screws and replace (fixed) |
Worked correct out of the box. It's in my parent's new pc, so it's not genuinely applied for a lot else besides web, email, video and function related points. I installed the card just in case I wanted to shift more than and attempt out the card myself ;) N/A
