GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) GV-N550WF2-1GI Video Card
Cons:Nothing so far but it seems like you could get much better cards for about $10-$20 more but I stuck with this one because the other cards were out of stock when I was ordering and didn't want to wait.
Pros:Used this for my first build. I'm able to run Starcraft 2 at Ultra settings on a 1v1 and have to turn it down to High when it is a 2v2 when it gets to mid-game since they're just too many units. Comment:
It's decent, no problems so far. Didn't overclock it so temperature is at 34C according to SpeedFan. Was easy to install like most cards. |

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) GV-N550WF2-1GI Video Card
Cons:-Poor drivers causing drastic fps drops.
Pros:-Stays cool.-Cheap and not bad value for price. Comment:
Nvidia have been struggling with their drivers for this product. FPS drops are common, although not happening all the time, it happens enough for it to be frustrating. Just on that basis, I do not recommend this product. |

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) GV-N550WF2-1GI Video Card
Cons:lockups in 3D games, poor support from Gigabyte
Pros:Good price, decent performance Comment:
I purchased this card to replace an old GT9800 that had failed. After installing this card, I was getting plenty of lock-ups in 3D games so I started testing other components. Finally, I purchased a brand new system and put this card in it. The lock-ups continue to happen.Support from Gigabyte has been less than satisfactory. They take about 3 days to reply to an update on the case. They also require I reproduce the lock-up using either 3DMark11 or Furmark before they'll do anything. I suspect I'll end up putting the stock ATI card back into this machine and counting this as a loss. |

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) GV-N550WF2-1GI Video Card
Cons:Havent had one yet
Pros:Lets you play AAA games on med to high settings Comment:
First video card Ive ever bought. It does its job. I can play games like COD:MW3, DotA2, AC:R, etc. on med to high settings with no problems at all. I dont think Im gonna be replacing it for some time. |
Bought this with my first budget gaming pc build. Better than any out of the box PC integrated garbage and it'll max a lot of older and even current games. But be prepared to struggle looking for a tolerable frame rate in games such as Crysis, Metro 2033, Crysis 2, Battlefield 3, etc. If you're looking to play games in a lower framerate, or just stick to Valve, Bethesda, mobas, low demanding games, etc than you'll be fine. Just dont expect to max out Crysis in 1080p. Overall a good card for the price.
