Cons:Be careful with its heatsink fins, can be bent quite easily.Came in with an unsealed bag, which CSR says that's how its being packaged in the factory.
Pros:Quiet and not hot (yet). Works in an old proprietary AMD motherboard having ATI Radeon Xpress 200 chipset and backward compatible to its PCI x 16 slot. |
The card is used to upgrade an old AMD system.Using a free video benchmarking software, onboard video was about 17 FPS. With the gigabyte card, it scores 165 FPS. That's quite some improvements. Case temperature hovering around 37C, 4C higher than before.After installation, XP device manager shows unknown PCI device. Does not affect performance (yet).Only installed the video and hdmi (sound) drivers, did not install all other stuffs.System is: AMD CPU (socket 939), 400W PS, 2GB DDR RAM, XP32, PCI x16 slot
