GIGABYTE Radeon HD 5450 (Cedar) GV-R545OC-512I Video Card
Comment:
Low expense, single slot, low power, drops proper in and runs fine below Win 7 - 64 bit. Brief / low card - not going to bump into anything. Fan is *very* quiet. Card is solidly made, connectors are all simple to get at. With the current drivers, not incredibly rapid. They have been out for ~ 1 month so that's not a true huge surprise. Turns in five's on Win 7 ratings. I know it's a stupid metric, but there it is. Hopefully lots of area to increase the drivers. If you will need speed these days, go with a various chip set. Program:three GHz Quad core CPURapid RAMEach in the higher 7's on Win 7 |

Price was great! HDMI connectivity to TVs and displays with HDMI with up to 2 channel 48 kHz stereo or 7.1 AC3, enabling a plug-and-play cable-much less audio solution. With the capacity to take full benefit of Blu-ray functionality with dual-stream, picture in picture (PIP) capabilities, dynamic contrast and enhanced DVD upscaling. Also supports 3D gaming effects. Can\'t overclock? For some explanation, I did not even have to install device drivers so it worked correct out of the box but I installed it anyway. |

Low price, great efficiency Aero expertise for the enterprise or HTPC user. HDMI output. Integrated little kind-aspect bracket limits you to the DVI connection only. A second bracket would have been nice so that you don't drop dual monitor functionality. If you use the complete height bracket even though, you nevertheless have access to the outputs even so, so don't let that sway you if you're not utilizing the little form element plate. Not positive why persons are saying that the ATI drivers won't operate with this card. I installed the ten.7 drivers just fine on a Windows 7 Enterprise x64 system from ATI's site and the user is having no problems with it. I tested with PCMark and 3DMark, and the system turned in acceptable scores for this class of video card. Zero instability. We did purchase this from Newegg on the business account. Really low wattage, low heat. I can confirm that this card has a 700MHz core clock. Compared to my HD4550, I'm using about 5 less watts active and idle according to Kill-A-Watt. CPUID Hardware Monitor shows the HD5450 max and min. temperatures as 57 and 44 degrees respectively after the 3DMark06 test, exactly where my HD4550 registered 75 and 54 soon after the test. I'm seeing about 1-2 far more FPS in WoW on average compared to the 4550. With my HD4550, I got a score of 3586 with 3DMark06. With the HD5450, I got 3610. I know that the bottleneck is the 64-bit memory interface that both cards share, but I took an egg off for the minimal gains more than the preceding generation equivalent. This card is honestly fairly amazing. I'm utilizing Windows XP Pro 32-bit and it was pretty substantially plug and play. I can't vouch for problematic experiences with Windows 7. I've put it via some quite rigorous tests and it's been stable and quick. This card is fairly fantastic for HTPCs and low-intensity gaming or green computing junkies. Everyone expecting more than that ought to get one more card, plain and easy. That getting stated, I'd hugely advise this card to anybody.I can confirm effective memory clock IS 1600MHz. It has DDR memory so it will show up as 800MHz in some diagnostic software (CPU-Z, and so on.) |

I am using this card in an HTPC create along with the Zotac mini-itx 9300. Installed flawlessly and picked up my 46" Toshiba via hdmi with no issues even prior to putting in drivers. Had a dilemma with one more brand card with this, had to hook up common vga and install drivers prior to I could get the Television to be recognized on the hdmi, but no difficulties with this one particular. Does not get also hot, even immediately after playing blu-ray content for additional than 18hours straight. None Extremely advocate for a committed HTPC card. Low profile and low value, flawless video playback. |

Comment:
It is quiet, creates good image good quality for my two monitors, uncomplicated software installation, no difficulties with drivers The slim profile plate sent with the card only had slots for HDVI and HDMI, and no other plate for the SVGA. If setting up in slim profile pc it is very hard to use the SVGA output as there is no plate, as nicely as the connecting cable for SVGA is not capable to reach a different plate slot. |

Comment:
Fantastic functions if they worked (Bit streaming, HDMI, custom screen resolution, other cool stuff). This card is very unsteady. There are known problems with both ATI 5450 and 5670. You can install only the catalyst computer software CD that came with the GPU. If you go to ATIs internet site and update the drivers, it the method will not show the screen when it is supposed to show windows login screen. The only selection is for you to go to safe mode and restore the system to original drivers. The dirvers that come with the CD do not operate nicely with Win 7 Expert ࿀ bit and 64 bit) and Win XP Pro. I wasted days of time trying to get these cards to function adequately even on the stock drivers. The driver & efficiency problems are effectively recognized and ATI does not do something about it. My suggestion would be to stay away from ATI 5XXX series for a although till they get it appropriate. Getting Nvidia with ASUS Xonar sound card for HDMI bit streaming! |

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 5450 (Cedar) GV-R545OC-512I Video Card
Cons:none for the price
Pros:Low costDual monitor supportHDMI and DVI out Comment:
A very decent graphics card for the price. I haven't tried playing any games (I am not a gamer), but it works well for video/photo editing. Of course, the CPU will do the most of work for heavy duty video editing, but this video card is a great budget card if you are not a gamer. |

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 5450 (Cedar) GV-R545OC-512I Video Card
Cons:If you plan to use in a low-profile chassis, it does not come with a 2nd bracket for D-sub connector.
Pros:Straight forward install Comment:
I purchased to use in a small form factor Lenovo ThinkCentre desktop for dual monitor support. I had to find a 2nd d-sub from another video card so that I could mount the d-sub connector. The video card does work with d-sub and dvi connectors at the same time to support dual monitors. |

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 5450 (Cedar) GV-R545OC-512I Video Card
Cons:- When squeezing the card at the heatsink, it makes a clicking sound, but nothing breaks.
Pros:- Very well priced- Comes with low-profile bracket for small form factor cases Comment:
I wasn't expecting it, but it came with a low-profile bracket that you can swap with the already installed full size bracket. You'll just need to remove the VGA connector and install the low-profile bracket. This is a very decent low-end card that works really well in a HD HTPC. |

Cons:Nothing to complain about here
Pros:Low Low Price, Directx 11 video card. Works great. Comment:
Wow, 14.99 after rebate for a video card more powerful than a card i paid over $50 for five years ago. Retired and sold my saphire x550 for 15 bucks and bought this one for our spare win xp desktop pc. Much improved video, brighter and sharper with enough power to improve the performance of some of the old games i still like but can't play on win 7. Five star value here!! |

Cons:None
Pros:Nice cheap video card for an office installation or an HTPC Comment:
This was going into an office machine so it didn't need to be an over-the-top powerful video card. For less than $20, with a rebate, it's a no brainer and won't hurt if it breaks in less than a year. |

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 5450 (Cedar) GV-R545OC-512I Video Card
Cons:Le rabais postal.

Low-costruns 2 1920x1080 monitors (DVI and HDMI) just fine. I have never observed any weirdness with either monitor. Can't hear it in my quiet case. HDMI audio works fine. Don't know if it is high high quality since my speakers suck..I don't feel it impedes airflow in my case This card won't do 3 displays simultaneously unless you have a monitor that has a display port and a converter, or unless you have an active displayport converter. I just identified that out because I purchased a third monitor to use with it. That's the story with all of the AMD/ATI cards with eyefinity though. I'm not docking an egg simply because I didn't recognize how eyefinity worked. My fault, but it still sucks. The initial one I got had a bent backplate ad the DVI plug was bent as well. Newegg was wonderful although and set me a new 1. The second one was bent a little too, but no connectors were damaged and everything worked, so I kept it. Just FYI.I'm getting a second 1 of these cards to run a third and fourth display. |
Worked good out of the box in Windows 7. HDMI output on a tiny form element Dell yielded a no hassle setup for my new media center box. No setup or configuration needed to get audio to push over HDMI to the Tv. Had to modify the card slightly to get it to match inside my case. I had to take away the pins for the VGA connector/cable to be in a position to close my Dell smaller kind aspect case. Fantastic small card and runs HD high quality streams and videos without a hitch.
