GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6950 GV-R695D5-2GD-B Video Card with Eyefinity
Cons:
Slower memory than 6970
Pros: Can be shader unlockedOverclockable Comment:
For the price, this provides an almost 6970 performance. Shaders are unlockable but needs DOS commands instead of windows. Modded firmware exists for the unlocked shaders and for the 6970 BIOs. It artifacted when flashed with the latter, suspect that its due to the memory. |

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6950 GV-R695D5-2GD-B Video Card with Eyefinity
Cons:
No bundled DVI->VGA adapter (if you need one)
Pros: Great Card for the money Comment:
This card is quite fast, but fairly standard as far as clock speeds go.There is nothing special as far as accessories are concerned(2 molex connectors and a Xfire Adapter). Excellent value for the price, build quality is solid. Noise level is good, you can hear it, but it is not any louder than the 5770 that it replaced. The Card is fairly long, so make sure you have enough clearance in your case before installation. |

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6950 GV-R695D5-2GD-B Video Card with Eyefinity
Cons:
slower memory clocks than 6970 might potential stop you from being able to over-clock the memory as high as a 6970.
Pros: Can be shader unlocked and over-clocked to gain 6970 functionality and performance at 6950 price. Comment:
Great card over all with good mod-ability offering higher performance at a low price. In fact it makes buying a 6970 almost unjustifiable, unless you are the type of person that doesn't like to tinker and over-clock your hardware . |
The first thing I thought when I took this hunky video card out of the box was, "is this even going to fit in my case." It did but I feel sorry for anyone that doesn't own a large gaming case. So far I am pleased to say that installation was a breeze and I haven't bumped into any complications. Currently I'm running Crysis 2 on high and I'm getting 60-78fps which I'm quite satisfied with. Overall I would recommend this to anyone looking for a gaming card who's willing to fork out a little more for a lot more quality and performance.
