GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6970 GV-R697OC2-2GD Video Card with Eyefinity

Wanting to get into DX11 before DiRT3 & Battlefield BC3 came out, I replaces my Gigabyte HD4890OC (overclocked w/Zalman cooler). When I opened my case (Gigabyte I solo)I though "oh crap". The card barely fit into the case. There is no way I would be able to X-fire a pair of these.The card fired right up and I was very surprised how quite it was. Especially running the triple fans. It has not stumbled on any of the games I run (DiRT2, DiRT3, TDU2, BC2, Black Ops). Running all games at 1980 X 1020 and high/ultra settings. My benchmarks on DiRT2 were lower than the reviews I read. That would be due to my Phenom II 940 rather than the more powerful I7's they use. Here is how it runs DiRT2-Ran the DiRt2 bench mark - Ave. 65.3 fps / Min 51.7 FPS, on the following settings:Quaility - Ultra / highRes. - 1980 x 1020- 2xMSAA- DX11 And those numbers are soft in comparison to a gaming mates gtx570-My benchmark results in dirt2Res: 1920 x1200Set: all on max8 X QCSAAVsync - offAve - 90.6 fpsMin - 75.9 fps But the HD6970 make up some room in other games.Overall I am very happy with this card.
