GMG 3538UC-BLK 3.5 Dual Bay Hard Drive Enclosure - SATA to USB 2.0

I replaced a Maxtor external drive after the second failure. Found out that Maxtor has proprietary hardware and I could not just replace a failed drive. I opted to go with the GMG enclosure with Seagate drive. Love the quality of the case, look, and ease of use (recommend to read the instructions carefully). I had this for a year and the cooling fan started making a loud whine. GMG has no service facility to repair and wanted me to contact vendor to replace. I found a replacement fan for $7 and wired it in the unit. Not hard. In researching fans, there appear to be different quality fans, and this GMG would be all 5 stars with a top of the line fan. Would gladly pay $10 more if I never had to worry about the fan failing. Overall, I still recommend the enclosure.
