I took this on a road trip to Quebec Canada and it worked good, no difficulties at all. I like it far better than my car or truck's overpriced navigation choice! none |

This unit has each and every function I have a require for. Text to speech telling you street names audibly is a new function to me, and I really like it. I also like the lane help and targeted traffic alerts. It can also maintain track of the fuel you use (which you enter when you obtain gas), and inform you the cost of just about every trip. If these points get considerably better, they'll start driving our cars for us. No Bluetooth or MP3. I don't count this as a con, since I wouldn't use either, but I consider most folks would see it as a con. The driving directions can be wrong at instances, it has attempted to send me down pedestrian-only streets on many occasions. I bought this unit in Germany due to the fact I Needed a navigation technique ideal away, and I'm not certain if it would do the identical factor in the US. This is my second navigation system, and my second Garmin. I took the expensive route in buying this unit. I bought it at an auto parts shop in Germany for (~贶). Add 贄 for US maps and ์ for US visitors alerts when I got residence, and the 贘 I would have paid either way for lifetime maps and I have 蹎 invested in it. |

Displays existing speed. Excellent job on lane help. Lane assists shows you what is going on a lot better than the voice prompts. For example, if there is a left exit and then ramp on left, voice will tell you ramp on appropriate (so you steer clear of exit) which is confusing. The thought and implementation of Lane assist is great. Can display additional trip info on the major screen. This unit has two major screen layouts. 1 is traditional and one is "More Information" which consists of some more numbers about your trip.Lightweight.Has Garmin offices pre-loaded in your favorites. Screen feels a bit cheap. If you are wearing polarized sunglasses when driving, you could have screen view dimmed a bit. Just tilt your head to the left for great view.Energy wire is too thick, and just doesn’t follow the automobile profile, will keep the packaging bends for a though.Windshield mount feels like it has suffered from some price saving efforts. The wire goes straight to the unit, not to the mount, which means that to remove it (or put it back) is a two step procedure - get rid of unit from mount and disconnect the cable. So whenever your unit is not mounted, the cable will be just laying around the automobile. This also doesn’t assist cable to mold its shape to the surface profile. Mounting and dismounting the unit is a two hand operation for me, I may improve in couple of months I hope.No three.5mm jack. This was a nasty surprise for me. I planed to use the AUX connection. The cigarette lighter adapter fills slightly bulky. All the cons didn't fit, see Other thoughts. Hidden expenses. It will be about a hundred for the maps upgrade (initial upgrade is free of charge) and about fifty for traffic. Sounds a bit steep but I can realize the price of maps and visitors to some degree, the truth that your maps and traffic are bound to the unit doesn’t really feel correct. So if I decide that the unit I got is way too cheesy I would lose my map and traffic investment.Unit does not have a friendly interface to go with option route. There are two techniques to do it - if you know the way you can just drive and at some point it will understand that your way is shorter and it will quit telling you to turn about. The other way is to stick a through point each time. Each approaches are genuinely annoying.Search interface is corky, it searches in a state, so if you live on a border and frequently search in two or more states prepare to type the state each and every time. Why they could not just give me couple of buttons with states subsequent to me?Search feels slow.I own it for about a month at the time of writing. I |

Worked right out of the box without having a hiccup. Screen can be adjusted for brightness and is quickly observed outdoors. Announces the streets clearly. Size is very good for the auto and it will fit very easily in a shirt pocket. A-C-C-U-R-A-T-E Comes with out a GPS USB cord, cost 19.00 and you can not register the product on the web without it.Shipped from Georgia by way of UPS and was only packaged in a mailing envelope/with thin bubble wrap. I nearly fainted when the UPS driver handed it to me. Luckily the mfg box was sturdy and it only had to travel a short distance.Don't they have boxes in Georgia? Very good acquire on this 1 so I only saved 60 bucks rather of 80 bucks due to the fact of the USB cord. Even so ya can't beat the Egg, no way! |

Very easy to use. Like the thin profile. Estimated arrival times are very accurate. I highly recommend this GPS. |
Good product. All features worked as advertised. Garmin software program has improved as well. Speed limit indicator does show the speed limit for most big roads (see cons for Lane Help comment). Lane Assist does not work in all states and does not show when you are viewing the list of upcoming turns. It only displays when you are in the map view.
