Works very well for an external hard drive. Much better connection (not as wobbly as in USB) and a bit faster.Works well for a camera as well. I wish firewire were more popular than USB. |

Works as it should. The thick cable is also very sturdy, and the gold-plated connectors also do seem very sturdy and well-made! I currently use this to import video from a MiniDV camera and it works very nicely.Pricematch keeps it down low as well! |

Got this cable for under $2 pricematched. Been using it to transfer files between my desktop and laptop - Firewire is a lot faster than regular ethernet (though far slower than gigabit). |

I used this cable to transfer some footage off a Mini-DV camcorder and tapes, onto my computer. It worked fine.Can't beat the price.
