Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 AMD970 ATX AM3+ DDR3 2PCI-E16 3PCI-E 2PCI RAID SATA3 USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:Bios is very good but does not allow for running all fan headers in silent mode
Pros:Good PriceLots of featuresUltra DurableFull size board with 9 mounting holesRev. 3 Comment:
Put in a Phenom 965, 8 gigs of Kingston, Geforce 660 and Muskin 240 gig SSD. Boot times are super fast, games run super smooth. I can verify that I got a Rev. 3 board. If you're not looking to spend a ton of cash on a system, this board really fits the bill. |

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 AMD970 ATX AM3+ DDR3 2PCI-E16 3PCI-E 2PCI RAID SATA3 USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:Still shipping old revision of board as of 2013.04.09
Pros:Great price for 8+2 power phase! Gigabyte quality, coupled with great connectivity. Comment:
Well, for what I paid for this board it's a GREAT purchase. The only issue I could find with this board would be that I received the previous revision of that board that does not have a UEFI bios. It's not a HUGE issue, but since the newer revision board have been out since October of 2012, I would just expect the older stock to have cycled out by now. Oh well...Supplied bios worked with my piledriver FX-6300 cpu with no problems whatsoever. I can't wait to start overclocking the chip when I get some time. |

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 AMD970 ATX AM3+ DDR3 2PCI-E16 3PCI-E 2PCI RAID SATA3 USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:Crossfire support is only 16x / 4x, it'll work for some lower end Crossfire setups but overall you should pick a different board if you're planning on using Crossfire.
Pros:Price ($103 Price Matched)8+2 VRMUSB 3.0SATA3Dual-BIOS (Rev 3.0+ UEFI) Comment:
This motherboard within it's price range is possibly the best purchase to make, unlike the other $100 ($103 price matched) motherboards this has a 8+2 VRM Power delivery system which will provide better OC's / more stable OC's. |

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 AMD970 ATX AM3+ DDR3 2PCI-E16 3PCI-E 2PCI RAID SATA3 USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:Only three 3 pin connectors
Pros:Everything you could possibly need for a lower level build. Comment:
I have no regrets with this board. It may not be the prettiest board out there but it has all the bells and whistles you could possibly need for a lower level build. |

Upgraded from a ASUS P5N-D, bought a new processor and RAM. Great board and cheap price. Comes with more than enough SATA headers and 10 USB ports, 2 being 3.0 on rear panel. |

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 AMD970 ATX AM3+ DDR3 2PCI-E16 3PCI-E 2PCI RAID SATA3 USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:Instructions manual is slightly confusing. Not much of a problem though.
Pros:Sturdy - Amateur-proof and lives up to its "Ultra Durable" titleCheap pricing Comment:
I bought this board for my first build. I was gonna take the GA-990X-UD3 but my friend recommended me to downgrade and save a bit of money, so I chose the next best thing to it. It is "Ultra Durable" - I've dropped my screwdriver onto it several times while trying to install the pesky heatsink (Not giving names) and it still posts like normal. Overall, awesome budget board, I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a nice mobo and doesn't need crossfire for the moment. |

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 AMD970 ATX AM3+ DDR3 2PCI-E16 3PCI-E 2PCI RAID SATA3 USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:No, Cmos clear switch, just an internal jumper. Gaged on F1 flashed to F3, was the answer. worked no problem after that.
Pros:AM3+ Support, Firewire, USB3, Gigabyte quaility.. NCIX's SHIPPING THE SUPER FAST. IM Impressed. Comment:
I Buy Gigabyte almost exclusive for me and my family their build quality is hard to beat. I agonized over what Board to replace my 790fxt board, Just about pulled the trigger on the 990fx-ud5p, BUT. Ive been hearing rumors, and starting wondering why the 900series is sharing am3+ support with 800series.. Answer is the 900 series boards are not real Bulldozer boards, they offer some really nice options But 1090fx is suppost to replace it by the time the second gen bulldozer is released. I decided to get this one, its cheap will hold me over until the proper 1090fx boards realease with PCIE 3.0. On a side note, i've always waited for a bois update before i purchace a board for myself, I feel like a genious at this point becuase the F1 release bios had issues, for me. Over all a smokin nice little board for the price, my 790ftx-ud5p was one of the most stable/reliable boards ive ever owned.. hope this one is as good, for the next year anyways;) |

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 AMD970 ATX AM3+ DDR3 2PCI-E16 3PCI-E 2PCI RAID SATA3 USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:-location of onboard internal sata ports is rediculous-not enough cables-ati raid interface/utility is terrible compared to the nvidia nforce raid interface/utility my previous gigabyte board used
Pros:-decent board with plenty of usb3 and sata3 ports-lots of modern up-to-date features Comment:
This is a pretty decent board for the price point. It has plenty of modern features like sata3 and usb3, but the placing and orientation of the internal sata ports is ridiculous! My old gigabyte board had 6 sata connectors aligned vertically in two groups of three...this board has 1 grouping of 6 sata connectors aligned horizontally! This makes installation of your sata cables, after the board has been mounted, extremely difficult! I guess if you have one of these newer model gigabyte boards, it means that you should install your cpu, heatsink/fan, ram, and your sata cables before mounting the board in the case! |
I purchased this Mobo instead of the ASRock with a budget-oriented mindset and I was very pleasantly surprised. The 8+2 Phase is rumored to be nice for overclocking (more stable) and I'm guessing it will hold up its own against the next AMD CPUs.Very good board for overclocking. All the features with no extra frills are there. Great Bang for the Buck.If you need a board for a multiple video card setup, you might want to dish out a few more bucks and get the 990FX version instead.
