Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 OC 1216MHZ 4GB 7.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI 3XDISPLAYPORT PCI-E Video Card
Cons:Unstable

Pros:Powerful when stableCompact but gets quite warmRelatively quiet
Comment:
Like David's review my GPU also was a beast when stable, maxing out the most demanding games on ultra settings, but would lose video signal and black screened anywhere from 5-60 minutes.Temps never higher than 70c with stock fan settings in a tiny air-cooled mITX build. No issues with coil whine. Wish it worked - I like it enough I'll RMA it until I get one that is stable.Easily 5 stars if it worked..

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 OC 1216MHZ 4GB 7.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI 3XDISPLAYPORT PCI-E Video Card
Cons:Cannot be overclocked as much as a regular card, I didn't spend a lot of time on it though

Pros:Excellent performance, very silent. Perfect for HTPC, can be overclocked
Comment:
Perfect for a near silent HTPC, still overclocks well but not as high as a regular GTX970 it seams...

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 OC 1216MHZ 4GB 7.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI 3XDISPLAYPORT PCI-E Video Card
Cons:- Does get hot quickly- Fan is very loud- Unstable

Pros:- Powerful while stable- Compact size
Comment:
This 970 was very good while gaming but frequently black screened and only a hard reset would restart the computer. This persisted in two different computers with 650w and 750w Corsair PSUs and between Windows 7/8.1. The temperatures quickly rose without software intervention although it could be kept under 70 Celsius; using Afterburner to tune the fan, temperatures were under 50. It made quite a bit of sound when the fan ramped up.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 OC 1216MHZ 4GB 7.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI 3XDISPLAYPORT PCI-E Video Card
Cons:the dvi-d output is kinda useless, dvi-i or hdmi or even vga would have been better. pretty expensive if not on sale.

Pros:not a massive and long card. one large fan. still very powerful. 6 output ports. 4 display capable with Flex Display technology. 4k capable. fan is pretty quiet and cool.
Comment:
I think that these smaller, not longer cards are the future. the massively long cards that are hard to fit in some cases plus with many fans is just troublesome. Maybe smaller size cards with water cooling might be better than placing 3 or more fans on the card, which will be very noisy at full load. All in all, this is a perfect card for me, since I am more interested in 4k videos and multiple monitors than gaming (probably will take advantage of flex display in the future and use 4 monitors). So video card manufacturers should take note, OVERLY LONG CARDS ARE NOT THE ANSWER.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 OC 1216MHZ 4GB 7.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI 3XDISPLAYPORT PCI-E Video Card
Cons:stock fan curve has fan running too high.Newer games at 1440p do seem to almost require a second card for over 60fps at ultra settings, would be nice to get to that sweet spot with a single card under $400.

Pros:Relatively quiet(needs custom fan curve)Runs cool if given room(65 max g 50% fan)Looks to have O/C roomOn sale this thing makes sense.connections(two DVI, two DP, two HDMI) is amazing.
Comment:
Switched from 2 x 670's for the extra VRAM. While I did take a FPS hit, I can turn on more bells and whistles including higher DSR settings. Not running SLI(at least coming from the 670's) has smoothed out a few games as well even though they are running slower. Will look for this to go on sale again to maybe pick up a 2nd card.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 OC 1216MHZ 4GB 7.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI 3XDISPLAYPORT PCI-E Video Card
Cons:Apparently it will not overclock well and the fan will be noisy if you try

Pros:Probably the cheapest 970 GTX you can get
Comment:
The fan is virtually silent. I have not tried to overclock, but do not intend to. It is running 29C idle, and up to about 69C when heavy gaming. Overclocking will apparently only bring a few fps more but become very loud. I have been happy with the purchase.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 OC 1216MHZ 4GB 7.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI 3XDISPLAYPORT PCI-E Video Card
Cons:Doesn't go as far as full sized cards. Not sure how well these would work in a smaller case. Hynix RAM on both mine

Pros:Runs well, overclocks to a stable 1450 MHz. Hasn't got over 70 degrees, and with custom fan profile stays under 60
Comment:
I bought 2 of them, and due to a lost SLI bridge, I have been using the second card for PHYS-X only. I will update  when the bridge gets here.Overclocks better than I thought it would. Surprisingly cool as well. Some people say they're loud, but I'm using a Fractal XL R2 case, and can't hear it at all until fan is over 75%.I do not regret this purchase so far, and hopefully the other card performs as well when they're SLI'd next week

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 OC 1216MHZ 4GB 7.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI 3XDISPLAYPORT PCI-E Video Card
Cons:No cons encountered.

Pros:Powerful, scales very well in SLI, extremely quiet, exceptionally power efficient, and overclocks well for such a small cooling solution.
Comment:
I'm currently running two of these 970s in an SLI configuration with a 4.4GHz I5 3470K, and outputting all games at 4k resolution (except for Assassin's Creed 3, which is a beast on hardware). Even with a significant overclock these cards remain exceptionally quiet and 100% stable during prolonged gaming. This is currently the best for the buck solution from the GeForce camp in terms of high end gaming.... highly recommended.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 OC 1216MHZ 4GB 7.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI 3XDISPLAYPORT PCI-E Video Card
Cons:Runs a bit louder in Dragon Age but not noticeable from across the room where it sits.

Pros:Full 970 experience in a small package. Dragon Age Inquisition on "Automatic" puts everything at full except MSAA and runs very smoothly. Huge improvement over a 760 GTX.
Comment:
Was originally going to put off this generation graphics cards but noticed graphic hitching in dragon age with a 760 GTX and not the level of visuals I was hoping for. Dissuaded by the prices of other 970 cards, I didn't notice this ITX version until the Black Friday sale. Read a couple reviews to make sure it was the same performance as other 970 cards and knowing that I had ample case ventilation (mATX with two 120mm front intake, there are no rear vents on the card so all heat goes into the case), I decided to get it at the $350 price. Some reviews mentioned noise others said it was silent. My experience was more noise than my 760 but much less than the old 480 or 560 and slightly less than the 680 in my full tower. How it compares to other 970s, I can't say. Dragon Age: Inquisition runs great on Automatic (puts everything to Ultra but MSAA at 1080p) in a system with an i5-2300, 8GB of RAM and an mSATA SSD. Expecting similarly great things with Far Cry 4 that I claimed with the card.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 OC 1216MHZ 4GB 7.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI 3XDISPLAYPORT PCI-E Video Card
Cons:noise at load

Pros:fastsmall
Comment:
my pc is fairly old. I have an i5 760 and 8gb of ram. I upgraded from a radeon 6870 and now I can run Farcry 4 at 1080p with ultra settings and get around 60fps.at idle the card is around as quiet as my old card which had an after market cooler on it. At load it's definitely louder than my old card but not irritatingly.so far I'm pretty happy with it.
