Gigabyte MB GA-H67MA-D2H Intel H67 LGA1155 PCI-E DDR3 SATA 6Gb s MATX USB3 RTL
Cons:
BIOS
Pros: Both Sata3 and USB 3.0 onboard. |
Overall this is a good board, not the high end boards I am used to but it serves it's purpose. I use it for a file server and have a couple of PCI-E1 Sata controllers installed (the reason I selected this board). AHCI works for hotswap, but it is a little on the slow side, it can take up to a minute to detect a drive has been either removed or installed. My x58 board detects insertion immediately.Running an I5 2400 utilizing onboard video and this thing is snappy in both Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.10 (dual boot)No problems at all except for the latest bios (with support for 3+ Tb hard drives). Pressing either DEL/F12/END or for that matter any key more than once during the BIOS screen causes a shutdown and reboot of the system (and sometimes BIOS recovery). That makes it hard to enter the Boot selection screen or the BIOS screens. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next release. For a bare bones motherboard I would still recommend it.
