Gigabyte SKT1156 INTEL H55
Cons: none

Pros: Stable great MB for a HTPC
Comment:
Used this MB for my HTPC. Low power consumption and built in features just in case the PC was shut off by mistake, which happened with my Harmony One. Definitely will use this on other builts

Pros: - Cheap price, even more with the bundle- Has onboard lan, sound and video

Great motherboard for everyday needs, I put a i3 530 with it and it works flawlessly after 5 months. Never had any trouble with Gigabyte, so far.

Gigabyte SKT1156 INTEL H55
Cons: Surprised by the lack of IDE which slowed down the upgrade... aside from that nothing I wouldn't expect of a decent budget board.

Pros: Overall good value. Bought it as a combo with an intel i3 540. Made for a nice inexpensive upgrade to a workstation.
Comment:
Overall pleased with the value and features provided. Would be ideally suited to an HTPC or budget workstation. Hard to beat the price.

Gigabyte SKT1156 INTEL H55
Cons: No USB 3.0 (heh is the value brand remember)Only 2 Fan ports (make sure you have good fans)Only has dual channel memory slots (not much space for anything more)Only has 1 PCIE X 16 slot, so no SLI/Crossfire. (value brand, can't expect too much)

Pros: Value board, yet packs lots of useful features. PCIE 2.0Great OC utility.On/Off charge + 3X USB power (not USB 3.0 though)Support CPU integrated graphics6 SATA portsDual Bios
Comment:
Bought in a bundle with core i3 530. I was using under LGA 775 before the upgrade, the jump from DDR2 to DDR3, as well as PCIE 1.0 to 2.0 were good value for the money. The compact design of the board makes it easier to install in mid cases. It sacrifices expansion ports for the value and space. It is the entry borad for the present generation of processors/rams. Although been said it is a value board, it still has enough perks for you to enjoy it. Like the easy tune 6, it offers software overclocking, so you can tune the CPU in the OS. It has some basic predefined rates for the processor to overclock to, so it gives you an entry point to even higher rates. It also has hotkey OC, that means you can change speed on the go, even in the middle of benchmarking. The cloud OC lets you control the speed from any other wireless devices. For a budget build, it is a very good choice. Although it can't compare to those of high-end design, it does keep up with the present technology standards to offer you bang for the buck.

Gigabyte SKT1156 INTEL H55
Cons: No IDE port. Cramped design means that you can't use the PCIe slot for a video card without blocking some of the SATA ports.

Pros: Works great as a hackintosh
Comment:
I picked this up to make a hackintosh because it was the cheapest i3 compatible board available. OSX runs flawlessly on this board.

Gigabyte SKT1156 INTEL H55
Cons: No HDMI

Pros: Cheap board.
Comment:
I bought this with the i3 for a HTPC build. But wasn't reading carefully enough to notice there is no HDMI port on board. VGA only. So I have to put another video card.Besides that, it's a good board, lots of features. I love the power-off USB charging thing. It lets you charge your device even then the PC is off.
