Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3 ATX LGA1155 Z68 DDR3 2PCI-E16 3PCI-E1 2PCI HDMI SLI SATA3 USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:8pin power for cpu...little bit hard to reaach with aftermarket heatsink scythe mugen 3, bios when OCing was a little quirky
Pros:gets the job done, overall good layout, good price for what you get, msata Comment:
Overall have been very happy with this board. Had issues OCing my i5 2500k because somehow bios was not accepting saved values. Had to load from fail safe values and then edit for it to finally register - though not a big deal in the end.Left it at 4.3ghz on about 1.36-1.37V so there is still room if you really wanted to push it to 1.4V but I wanted this setup to last me 5-6 years. If anyone is curious, the scythe mugen 3 will fit this board wonderfully since it is a lot smaller than its predecessor mugen 2. Just have the fan opposite side of the ram. You also will not have any ram clearancee issue with the mugen 3 even if you were running the corsair vengeance which are really tall (I went with 16 gigs g.skill however). There is still a small gap between the heatsink and the ram but they are not touching.Layout of the board was fantastic compared to my previous motherboard. Only slight annoyance was where the 8pin power for the cpu was located because of my aftermarket heatsink being fairly close to it but if you're sticking with stock cooler then you'll be fine. |

Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3 ATX LGA1155 Z68 DDR3 2PCI-E16 3PCI-E1 2PCI HDMI SLI SATA3 USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:Bios issue,Dual bios useless
Pros:Good amount of feature for the price, especially if bought in a bundle. Comment:
Overclocking with this board is not recommended as you could fall into a reboot loop.Unfortunately, clear cmos or removing the battery does not solve the problem and you would need to RMA the board in order to fix a BIOS issue!I always liked Gigabyte's product but I would stay away from this board if you are planning on doing overclocking, even mild overclocking. |

Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3 ATX LGA1155 Z68 DDR3 2PCI-E16 3PCI-E1 2PCI HDMI SLI SATA3 USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:The mobo heat skins were lose. They moved around alot while i was trying to assemble the cpu heatsink.
Pros:PriceBoth Crossfire and SLiMetal plate on the back part of the cpu socket4 Sata cables (2 90degree cables) Comment:
Decent Modo. Second time using a gigabyte mobo. Very happy with them. Was able to do medium OC on an i5 2500k very easy. might not be the great for heavy OC. |

Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3 ATX LGA1155 Z68 DDR3 2PCI-E16 3PCI-E1 2PCI HDMI SLI SATA3 USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:not the best
Pros:good pricegood performance Comment:
for its price its performance is very good. its great for a mid to high range gaming rig. although there are better Mobo's out there for a bit more, if you are on a tight budget this is a great board to couple with an i5 or even an i7 if you want. |
Very good board I use to only buy Asus but after owning 2 of these I think I may stick with Gigabyte.
