Just What I Needed
Comment:
We recently installed a multi-media projector in our church. We have a vga cable bringing the signal from a computer to the projector and needed a way to send video signal from a dvd vcr player to the projector through that same vga cable. This box did the trick. Works great. Picture quality is more than sufficient. Now we are able to view our computer display or the dvd vcr through a single vga cable (using a video switch box to select which signal to display). This gadget saved us time and money. Worked right out of the box. |

A bargain !
Comment:
I bought one seven months ago and I am still more than satisfied with this item. It is reliable and easy to use. It gives a good picture for the price. If one needs a noticable better TV picture, then be prepared to spend two or three times the money . . . Northerner |

If you have an old monitor and don't know what to do, this unit is for you. I used it to hook up an old LCD monitor to my A/V receiver and instantly I get a new LCD TV. I watched TV, DVDs, etc on it and the quality is very good. |

Excellent picture quality.Had an older 15 LCD monitor which I wanted to use in the travel trailer. Works great. Kids love watching movies on a rainy day. Grandtec GVC-1000 Video Console to VGA Converter

This was excellent for my needs. Understand that I am not a video freak, but was trying to achieve one end. I have an old 20'' Mac Monitor which has an excellent picture, and wanted to use it for DVD, TV and VCR apart from a computer. I found this item while browsing. It works great. I now have two monitor options for my computer, while the DVD/VCR is also hooked up. I can switch easily between options. I have carefully compared the picture from the DVD (S-Video)with DVD results from my computer/vga (Power DVD 5 via a GeForce 2 64MB card). The picture quality is identical (both at 1024x768). Much better picture than DVD through our regular TV. Great idea in a gadget! |

Grandtec GVC-1000 Video Console to VGA Converter
Comment:
I bought this converter to switch between computer VGA and a VCR to conveniently display TV and taped video on one of my computer monitors. The TV tuner in my VCR is quite good so I figured this configuration would work better than a PC TV tuner card. I'm impressed with the results I'm getting with the GVC-1000. The picture quality is excellent and there is ample provision to adjust color, brightness, and contrast. The audio level matching between the PC sound card and VCR worked out well in my case also. The remote is slick too and has good off-axis performance. The unit comes with a good quality VGA connection cable so all I needed to complete my installation was a video/stereo audio cable for the VCR and a male-to-male 1/8” audio cable for the PC sound card. It would be nice if the sound card cable was included but the overall performance and ease of use this unit provides makes it well worth the price. |
Very simple to setup and use.
