This portable hard drive is just what I wanted for photos and work files. Easy to use, faster than I thought it might be. I would definitely buy again if I had it to do over.

I've found that this drive, on older PCs and Laptops will not run based on the power provided from the dual USB cable that comes with. In 2 correspondences with the manufacturer, they have no directly available or recommended power adapter for these drives, and tell you only this: The power supply requirements for the portable drive are as follows: 5Volts, 1Amp or greater, and Center Positive (Tip size: 3.4mm OD x1.3mm ID). You should be able to find something compatible at most electronics stores. Although this is nice, finding an adapter that fits these specs is difficult, and if you have a problem relating to the fact that you have used a 3rd party power adapter, the warranty is void and useless. Buy something else. Nice idea, but sub-par support.

With a little work the drive works well latest operating system. The drive itself had to be reformatted to remove installed software. The short cable was intermittent, once replaced worked fine.

Excellent device work great just plug to your computer ether windows xp, Vista or 7 will recognize right away as a plug and play device and That's it you have plenty of space for save or back up your files...

I purchased this drive to use with my WD TV Live media player and it works great. With the player I have to use both USB plugs to get it to reliably power up when turning on the player, but since it comes with a Y cable that's no problem. Plugged into my desktop it works fine with one plug. The drive is very quiet and it doesn't seem unusually warm. I did have to reformat to NTFS to get it to handle 1080p size video files.

This drive works great. After seven hours, my whole hard drive was backed up. Each monthly back - up will be quicker now.

If you just need some external memory to free up space on a laptop like I did, this the perfect solution! I literally couldn't be happier! The price was great and the ease of operation of the unit is great too, just drop it in your pocket and take it anywhere you want. I would highly recommend this external hard drive to anyone.

If you need a backup buy it. The only problem I had was trying to figure out which was the top and bottom.

Fast and quiet and great price. No problems at all. Others rated it on the rebate alone when they should have read the rebate details first (pretty clear that you get different amounts for different sized drives). Great buy.

I placed the order and figured that the rebate was $5 instead of $30. It's complete waste of time.

I was about to order this product, they had it listed with a thirty dollar mail in rebate. WHen I was able to get my credit card to proceed to check out, they had removed the thirty dollar rebate for a five dollar mail in rebate. This product is not worth anybodys time. DO NOT ORDER!!!!!

This drive is as most peaople here have said. Works great, could not have been any easier. I backed up my entire hardrive without any effort. After several hours it was done. It did take a while but we're talking almost 30 gb of space. Ran flawlessly throughout & was very quiet. Great Looking & tiny as well.

So simple even a cave man can do it. Flawless and fast and a perfect addon to my laptop but also for backups on the desktop too or transfer large amounts of files between them.
