HITACHI X-Series 750GB 2.5" Black Portable External Hard Drive
Cons:
None so Far
Pros: Storage Size, Price, Quiet Comment:
Very quiet drive, can barely tell that it is even on when reading and writing. No external power required. Comes with double USB cord (if you need extra power for the drive) but never had to use both so far. Little bigger than the WD portable HD that I have. Use it to store my back up Wii games. |

HITACHI X-Series 750GB 2.5" Black Portable External Hard Drive
Cons:
Needs some work with OSX - almost had to return itClicking sound after repartition and needs Hitachi tool
Pros: Big storage - 750GB after formatted with NTFS Comment:
I'm using this drive on Snow Leopard and it didn't work well initially until it's optimized by the Hitachi Align Tool. The stock file system was FAT32. To put files bigger than 4GB I wanted to format it as HFS+ but had some issues with clicking and really really poor performance... and so I gave up.After it's optimized by the Align tool it's now doing 30.7 MGB/sec steadily with Paragon NTFS plugin. |

HITACHI X-Series 750GB 2.5" Black Portable External Hard Drive
Cons:
nothing to complain so far.
Pros: big size, light weight, good looking, great price. Comment:
I bought it with discount price, plus $10 MIR. It's a good deal. drive is quiet, light weight. 750gb is also big enough for 2.5' drive. |
Perfect for moving movies between Mac and WDTV. Large capacity, runs on one USB cable, small and portable. Would buy another one.
