HP Color Lj CM1312NFI MFP Printer EN/ES
Cons:a little slow
Pros:Great print and scan quality Comment:
Got this to replace a Canon inkjet and Canon flatbed scanner.Used to scan pictures and then print up the scanned image - can now do both at once with colour photocopy. Network set up works perfectly but many work laptops do not allow you administratory privileges to add this as a networked printer.Great output quality for both text and images - software slows down boot-up quite a bit. |
Almost every printer I have ever purchased has been an HP and it looks like they have continued with producing excellent equipment. I do corporate IT so I am familiar with the higher-end series from HP and others. This CM is being used in my home office as a network accessible printer, replacing a number of aging devices including an HP B&W LaserJet, an HP Scanner, an Epson Color Inkjet and a Brother Fax.I downloaded all of the latest HP drivers and software instead of using the bundled CDs. One PC got the Full Solutions Software installed for complete printing/scanning/faxing, and the rest of the PCs got the HP Universal Print Driver installed for printing only. The PC used for the full solutions is only an Atom-330, 2GB RAM, 320GB HD, Windows XP x86, and the HP software runs fast with no side effects (no slow bootup or anything). The features and quality are impressive for the price. Everything worked fine without any hitches. The built-in network accessible web site is great for monitoring the printer and changing any configurations. I have used all of the features including printing, scanning, memory card photo access, I'm just waiting on a fax...I read a number of reviews (mostly positive) and forums prior to purchasing this, and a number of people have posted issues with the unit, but my guess is that they are the small percentage who received lemons or they have other software/hardware issues.I am very pleased with the purchase of this all-in-one.
