Bought this on sale to replace a worn-out HP5L; I wanted a cheap printer to sit by my desk and be networked to three PCs. Works great. The first page is out within ten seconds (from standby) and the print quality is good. The paper feed embosses the paper slightly, apparently right after the fuser; this isn't an issue for most uses. Manual duplexing works well. Toner cost approaches three cents a page, okay for casual use. Toner price varies greatly; got mine in an NCIX sale. Be aware that the printer ships with a half-empty toner cartridge apparently good for one thousand pages.
