Cons:The preview scan is oddly noisy. I'm hoping it's just noisy and not defective. The regular scan sounds normal like my old scanner

The quick button are handy to have on the top. Very nice feature to have scanning old film negatives and slides.I tested out scanning some fairly poor quality printed pages to see how well they turned out. It did a really good job imo.The scanning is quick in comparison to my last scanner. Which was also an HP.The only thing that bothers me is the noise of the preview scan. I had my friend listen to it and he thought maybe it was because of the way the cover is designed and doesn't provide much of a muffle? Although the regular/final scan sounds normal.
