Purchased 8 for deployment in my 80 workstation business.Issues for desktop users: Missing last page (had to re-install drivers and reset the printer to factory settings)Issues for 20 workstation deployments:These did not like refill toners, which caused several issues including dumping toner inside the unit if the refill was not done properly. memory code 1000.00, incorrect toner level indicator. No issues with OEM toner replacements.Under heavy use, they became very noisy, stripped a gear in one printer, rollers squeal in another, issues with refillable toners and several other issues relating to cheap parts wearing out fast.My advice, great cheap printer for home/limited use, I will not purchase again for business. Too much downtime and hassle. |

Pros:Great sale price, easy to set up, 2 trays + 1 for extra needs, duplex feature, compact, fast, etc, etc. Comment:
I picked up 2 of these onsale for use at my wife's office.They're not used on network, but it's nice you could if needed. She wanted printer with 3 trays ,duplex, able to take on occasional heavy use, Prints B/W, prints dispenced on top, Easy to use and she wanted HP as she's allways bin happy with them in the past. Wife's happy and the price was right. Would buy again. |

Cons:standard capacity toner is expensive (high capacity toner cartridge is better value), feels a bit flimsy
Pros:fast, small footprint, quiet mode, produces good quality documents Comment:
No problems encountered.Bought on special for $285. Full standard capacity toner cartridge supplied (good for about 2k pages). Attached to switch in mixed Mac/Vista environment. No problems with install (Autodetected). Vista required a bit of fiddling.Plastic panels and the front standby switch appear a little flimsy but nothing has fallen off and there are no unexpected rattles.I like the quiet mode - printing is slower but paper comes out less hot. (perhaps this might also prolong printer life?)Business document print quality is superb. Not good for photo reproduction.Standard duplexing is a plus. Seems to work well. I have not experienced any paper jams. I have not had the problems reported by other users of missing pages.The standard toner cartridge is expensive but non-HP cartridges are available at a substantial discount. The 6.5k high capacity toner cartridge is much better value. |

Print fast enough 33 ppm, short warm-up time, it is a good mono printer for small business use.
