Thumbs up to tiger direct for shipping it real fast (like 2 days)! As for the actual unit...well its not horrible, but it leaves much to be desired. The battery life is not ideal (something to the effect of 2 hours MAYBE) definitely get the extended battery, but with the relatively low price of this unit, its a small trade off. The vga screen is marvelous, although myn had a dead pixel and is being warrantied by hp (TERRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!) IT DOES not FEEL LIKE I HAVE A 615 MHZ OR WHATEVER processor this comes with (bit slow). My old toshiba e800 deffinitley was more feature rich, but it was also more expensive. Internet viewing is fantastic, as for the screen everyone is complaining about-its SUPPOSED to be like that. The sides of the touch pad are closer to the lcd than in the middle to make scrolling easier. Also it does NOT require THAT much effort to use the touchscreen, i see no difference between it and other pocket pc touch screen. |

I am thus far disappointed with my unit- I received it 24 hours ago and my screen is faulty. The middle of the screen bulges out in comparison to the edges and corners of the screen. I had to clean reset my unit (as recommended by HP) due to keyboard software problems. I had to soft reset my unit twice already because it froze. Is this the unit I paid $442.00 for? |
I have owned my 210 for just over a week now and have the following coments: Build quality is not as good as the hx2700 series, but the vga screen is great. The lack of a craddle is very disapointing, not being able to have the unit standing by the laptop is anoying, but the vga screen is great. Battery life is not great either but the vga screen is great. There have been lots of comments about the speaker quality and I have to agree it's not great, but the point is this was designed as an enterprise unit, NOT an ipod. I upgraded to this unit for one reason, and that was the vga screen, did I mention it is great!
