HT | OMEGA Claro Halo XT Sound Card w/ a built-in HI-FI Headphone Amplifier
Cons:Brand awareness. All HT Omega cards are way better then ANY Creative sound card however most people have never heard of them.
Pros:This is a true Audiophile grade sound card. Further you can change the opamps on this card. Comment:
Simply amazing! It's been an ear opener, to say the least.Go ahead and buy it. A+History: I've been spending the past few weeks browsing the internet for my new computer build. My current system is from late 1999 and I think all would agree its time to change/upgrade.Core i7 920Asus Rampage II ExtremeCorsair DDR3 Dominator 1600mhz 3x 2GB modulesPalit Radeon 4870 1GB ram, overclocked.HT Omega Claro Halo with XT for soundSince I consider myself an audiophile ($15K in audio equipment) I started googling audiophile grade sound cards and I came across this one. With some 2 hours or so of reading review after review I decided to buy it. This card isn't that expensive considering I paid $500 back in the early 90's for a Creative Labs AWE 32-bit sound card. In fact ever since the first Sound Blaster card, I have always been with creative...until now! :)Incidentaly I have never writen a product review for the hundreds of items I have bought. This product inspired me so much I had to get the word out so that more people can experience what a REAL sound card is all about. |
if you are starting a home studio this is the card for you. deep tight bass, clear highs, and best of all rca jacks. use it to record my dj sets i will never go back to creative or m-audio
