HT Omega Claro II Sound Card CMI8788 Audio 7.1 Channels 24BIT 192KHZ PCI 2PIN Coax and Optc
Cons:Bit expensive, and from what I have read it's a revised version of the claro, which means it still uses the same chipset. Doesn't do my laundry or dishes.
Pros:Big upgrade over previous card by creative, amazing drivers/support. Quality card with plenty of features to fit any of your needs. |
Well I started out with an auzentech prelude which was an amzing sound card, however within 6 months it crapped out on me which was disappointing. The terrible customer support frustrated me so I cut my losses, the second card I bought was a Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Titanium. Very overall good card unfortunately when I upgraded to windows 7 it seemed as though creative abandoned everything, tired of dealing with the support and the crazy issues and fixes with w7 I sold it and bought this beauty. So far things are great, the quality surpasses my previous cards. It comes with coaxial and optical in/out which is perfect for those of us who use a separate receiver or speakers. The coaxial connection works great with my edifiers and music never sounded better. Only complaint I have is there is no headphone amp for my sennheisers to enjoy, but that's a decision you make when you purchase a card.
