Please Ignore my final overview... I should have waited a handful of days prior to really finding on here and writing a assessment up.I was possessing the issue of a white/light bar moving up and down my screen... it was specially noticeable when there was a strong dark color (dark grey) background on the screen. I was under the impression this was due to a shoddy LCD panel. I have cause to think that it may possibly not be :) It nonetheless could be because of "inferior" manufacturing in regards to the energy cable or just hanns-G monitors in common but I am guess it is much more like the 20 points that I have plugged in across two outlets causing EMI... So... I have two monitors and soon after doing some a lot more reading about my problem online, one particular person posted that a low quality VGA cable without having enough EMI shielding could be to blame. So I switched my VGA cables. It didn't repair it. But that led me to assume about the fact that the two monitors have been plugged in to two distinct energy strips which have been plugged in to two various outlets... I swapped the power cords (left them each plugged in to the same outlet, just swapped them on the monitors) and VOILA' the new monitor is seeking just fine. No additional odd lines. NOW, my old monitor is possessing the concern! So, it is either my outlets, my power strips, or the energy cord they shipped is low cost but the monitor is now strong. (at least as of these days which is like day 3 of ownership...)After once more I apologize for the inaccurate assessment :( |

Low-cost, No Dead Pixels... butBrightIt got 2 stars mainly because there arn't any dead pixels and it is bright but that is actually the only fantastic issue I have to say about it... You get what you spend for.... NO DVI Connector... Which I would be fine with EXCEPT... I use a VGA cable to connect it to the dvi output of my videocard by way of an adapter.... And there are white/light oscillating waves or lines that can be observed moving up and down the screen whenever there is a lot of a solid color dominating the screen. It is most clear against a dark background.... So I did some reading... this is a frequent difficulty with affordable lcd panels... THE Fix.... Connect it via a DVI cable but there is NO DVI INPUT...So I connected it via the VGA cable to the native VGA out on my video card... Nonetheless THE Identical DilemmaTHERE IS NO Repair.... Really Incredibly annoying problem...Here is my setup...Radeon 5770DUAL MONITORS1 x Hanns-G HW173D (NOTICE THE "D", it has a DVI input, but is otherwise identical to to this, I purchased it many years back and I connect it via VGA but I have by no means had this problemƛ x Hanns-G HW173A (THIS monitor) No dilemma on the old monitor, just th Don't waste your income on this affordable piece of trash. I was beneath the impression this would be the very same top quality monitor as the very first Hanns-G 17" monitor I purchased as they are virtually identical. It wasn't something stellar but it worked with out any key concerns.THIS IS NOT THE Same MONITOR... Apparently their pension for using affordable parts has gone up more than the last several years. Removing the DVI port!!! Seriously? Does it save that much cash?! If Newegg is reading this, is this white oscillating bar difficulty an RMA'able challenge?? If so, I would like to return this monitor... |

Cheap LCD Effectively removing the stand voids the warranty, I might get in touch with that a con. Potential buyers, note there are four screws that hold the stand to the monitor and more than one particular of these screws is a "warranty void if removed" sticker. You can see it in the picture on the major ideal screw close to the bottom of the monitor. We had to just pop the sticker off and hope the monitor lasts mainly because it was impossible to mount this on the wall at my perform. Why, I imply it seriously blows my mind, would getting rid of the stand void the warranty? They may possibly as effectively place "warranty void if removed" stickers more than the wall mount screw holes mainly because they would serve the identical purpose.Just for this I am giving it a 1 star. This is absolutely unacceptable and I will in no way obtain an additional Hanns-G item once more. If everyone has any intention of mounting this on a wall go obtain yet another monitor. If you will definitely under no circumstances use a wall mount this is a good affordable LCD. |

None Monitor worked fine for about one particular month, and then it quit. Now all I get are greens and yellows and the monitor flickers in and out. I attempted to make make contact with with this company for a return to no avail. So substantially for a 1 year warranty if you cant get a hold of these jokers. Quite displeased and considering about filing a complaint with the far better company bureau. |

its flat. I have other Hanns-G lcd's that are in fantastic shape right now im rather disappointed. dead pixels inside the initial week...three hours of use. Wasnt there when I initial turned it on, but there's two now. not sufficient dead pixels for NewEgg to RMA. I have had this for a week, and I cant wait to see how a lot of dead pixels will come in the close to furture. Bought this as a second monitor...now with a black dot that cant be cleaned off. |
