Old ATSC chipset
Pros: Compact, USB. Comment:
The ATSC chipset on this tuner requires an unusually high signal-noise-ratio to record digital channels from an antenna. You may find your TV set can lock onto a signal but this tuner cannot. If you are using this to record OTA TV and your signal is not the strongest, look for something else. Look for something with more sensitive ATSC chipset if this is what you want to record. |

Cons:The WinTV ver. 7 that came with it is slightly buggy on my Windows 7 64bit setup.The program will freeze up occasionally when changing channels and/or stopping a TV program while watching.

- I purchased this when it was on sale and im very satisfied. It's not 1080p , but it does the job. There was alot of bad reviews likely due to software problems. The trick is to download the absolute latest version of software WinTV7. Do not use WinTV6. |
This USB TV-Tuner is a must have for someone who is running windows 7 on a laptop or even on a desktop if you don't have any free PCI Slot. I was looking for a TV-Tuner which work on Windows 64Bits and this one does. I've tryed only analog TV (Videotron Classic) and it work well. I've noticed that if the computer goes in sleep mode, when waking it up and opening Media Center to watch a channel, the channel will be blurry/not working but just switch channel and you'll get the picture back. This might be an incompatibility with my other stuff I don't know.
