INTEL 5500 DP LGA1366 MAX-64GB

Runs perfectly with a premium Intel Processor - out of box, no bios update needed.Somewhat lower cost, compared with the extent of Processing Scalability.Fits nicely into ATX Chassis. Missing/No Front Mic/Audio Connector.Document apparently incorrect, regarding requirement to energy 2nd CPU when it is not installed.3 expansion slots, two occupied by any sizeable video card - leaving only 1. OS installed due to the fact 1 day, not yet tried all attributes.I purchased this motherboard to work with, initially, 1 Intel x5690, as a workstation - searching for high compute capacity and scalability verses expense although re-purposing as much kit as I had owned. Tip - Take care in ensuring you have the correct energy supply, particularly for Dual Processor mode, as you will require 1 x24 pin and two x 8pin power connectors Ɠ in all)to drive this puppy!Win 7 User Knowledge Scores out of 7.9 : 7.8 (Processor X5690 & Ram 1333 ) 1. (M/b Graphics for Windows Areo) 1. (M/b Graphics for 3D, Biz & Gaming) five.9 (Seagate Barracuda XT -7200rpm, 64mb cache) Thus any sizeable video card will occupy/cover two of the three PCI Express expansion slots.Sound can be piped via rear mounted USB - not however tested.I see a USB hub (for audio) and Solid State drive ( for speed) in my future.I gave it 4 stars as all but the audio constratint was predictable/known going into the purhase.
