I use a MOTOROLA S9 bluetooth headset with this and functions fairly properly even at a distance of about 30+ feet. Havent had any problems with the connection or transfering files with it. Downloaded the drivers off IoGears website *I run windows 7 64bit* and installed them. It seemed to install just fine then it asked me to restart. Immediately after I restarted the computer system and logged back it the drivers had been corrupted. So I went to uninstall them and half way through uninstalling it hung up and wouldn't go any further. Subsequent factor I know all my desktop icons vanish. I log out then back in and comprehend all my files are deleted and immediately after restarting the machine my Windows was corrupted. This may have just been a one time fluke, but was awfully frustrating. |

Bought primarily to Hot-Sync my Palm T|X PDA with laptop operating Windows 7 - as WIN7 didn't assistance Palm USB cable , and my Palm WiFi was failing ; so Bluetooth was only choice left to sync. This device becoming Bluetooth 2.1 offers other alternatives I could leverage as well. MAKE Confident to download most up-to-date Iogear install file for this USB device -IF- installing below Windows 7. Enclosed CD had version five.x which had complications. I uninstalled, very easily discovered Iogear ver 6.two.1.5 on their website (which listed as a Windows 7 compatible version) - and was up and syncing my Palm in no time. None so far. It is good; and smaller as a thumbnail! Incredibly light blue glow as well. |

Incredibly tiny. Drivers are effortlessly downloadable off the iogear webpage. Uses the broadcom 2046 chipset. Functions with nt 6.1 kernel 64-bit with no matters. iogear has great quality and uncomplicated styles. a great firm for any will need. Packaging poor, a hand cut hazzard. The device also appears to regularly blink on and off a dim blue color. During mouse activity it will blink quicker and slightly more intense. Obtaining this to operate adequately was a mild pain. If your computer does not currently have bluetooth built-in you will apparently be forced to manually configure the services.msc snap-in and make confident each bluetooth services are started and set to start out automatically. Also, windows update make confident to run this as it will install some type of 'enumerator' package which appears to be needed as properly. The driver package was nearly 100+ MB from iogear. |

Initial and foremost, the installation was uncomplicated on both XP Pro and Vista 32. I utilized the drivers that came on the disk and followed the wizard without difficulty. Many instances with devices, I end up having to tinker with it a bit or discover alternate drivers, update drivers, or some other mess. Not the case with this! To date ྫྷታቤ), I’ve only tested my Stereo Bluetooth Headset (SBH). So far it’s great good quality, about the very same as I get from playing music on my Helio Mysto, Fin, or Ocean. The form factor would be great for Laptop users specially. It barely sticks out (~ or < 1cm), so most likely wouldn’t have to be removed for a laptop to fit back into a case. If you’re seeking for a compact Bluetooth solution for your Desktop or Laptop, this looks like a good resolution. (THIS IS NOT Negative FEEDBACK. I was just operating out of space to type in the “Other thoughts” section.) Installation: Make confident you click only 1 time on the “Windows Install.” There is a delay in among the click and the installer opening. Clicking many times will yield numerous installers. Even so, if you get far more than 1 installer, close all but one particular ahead of doing something and you’ll be fine. I plan on testing its capabilities with not only receiving stereo audio, but using the mic on the SBH, transferring information handhelds, and also amongst other computers. From the setup wizard, it looks promising for handhelds and phones. When I have much more data, I will most likely append/edit this post or write a different (if the former is a possibility). I have to be perfectly blunt about this a single. I’ve had a few experiences with I/O gear just before, and wasn’t impressed in the least. What prompted me to click the “Add to cart,” “Checkout,” and enter my payment info? I suppose it was a bit of pioneering spirit (at that time, there had been no critiques present), and the reality that it was at a price that was challenging to beat. So, instead of getting a laundry list of complaints, few compliments, and possibly stating “The RMA approach with Newegg going well as expected,” I am filling out really the contrary. |

Recognized in every OS I can throw at it - Linux and OS X without having any drivers, Windows Vista does not demand drivers unless you want to replace the default stack. It's really small and goes nicely with my MSI Wind U100 to give the unit bluetooth for inexpensive. It does what it desires to do (connect a BT mouse). It's low cost. It is type of tough to get out of the USB socket as soon as you put it in there. If you try to take it out one particular time with greasy or oil fingers, be prepared to devote a huge amount of your time cleaning it off otherwise you'll have to pull out pliers to eliminate it (and possibly mar the casing like I did). The blue activity LED, though it may well prove to be useful to some men and women, is extremely irritating if you use a BT mouse with it (it blinks continuously, and this is the only reason I docked one particular egg). All in all, a great obtain. It's inexpensive and gets the job done and it is smaller enough to be unobtrusive on my netbook - I don't even have to get rid of it to put the Wind in my laptop case. |

Worked automatically with windows 7 rtm after windows installed it's generic drivers for bluetooth devices. If you are only interested in utilizing it with windows, it's in all probability a excellent acquire, result in it is smaller, and I did get it to pair with my lg telephone in windows 7 (although it wouldn't transfer any files to or from my phone when I tried, but that's probably a separate problem) Doesn't work in linux (ubuntu jaunty 9.04) as there seems to be no driver available. It did seem to be detected, but it didn't actually operate. In ubuntu, it shows up in lsusb, and hcitool sees it as a device, but I can't get it to scan or something with any tool. I in fact have the gbu421wm, which may be unique than other versions, but I'm just warning you that it's attainable you might have to return it if you intend to use it with linux. As a basic rule, broadcom based devices hate linux. (although wireless cards usually work fine now) Manufacturer Response:Dear Customer,This item does not help Linux at this point. It only supports Windows XP, Vista ࿀- / 64-bit) and MAC OS X v10.3.9 or later. You could download the most updated driver from the link beneath:http://www.iogear.com/support/dm/driver/GBU421#displayThank you for choosing IOGEAR. |

Extremely tiny and extremely trustworthy USB dongle at a value that's in all probability lower than the built in bluetooth laptop option. So small that you hardly notice its there. I intend to acquire a different 1 for my wife's Lenovo 3000 N100 laptop with a defective internal bluetooth device. None for me but for some the reality that it is so little and tough to eliminate from the USB port. This is a pro for me because I in no way eliminate it and don't want it to accidentally pop out. I wanted a super small and reputable USB dongle due to the fact my Dell D630 laptop didn't have an internal bluetooth. This was it! Some have commented on the blue light on this device getting distracting but for me its so dim that I don't even notice its on. This device was an Awesome obtain. |

Bought it for a good value to link both my keyboard and my mouse to my new pc. Was simple to install and works well when it gets a connection. The range is incredibly tiny for me. If i put it in the back of my personal computer i don't get a signal at all, and its only like 3 feet away. Occasionally loses connection to my keyboard for no cause, and takes up to a minute to get the connection back. Its low cost and will do a decent job, but i wouldn't use it for a extended period of time. If you just want some thing affordable to use for a bit, then its a great idea, but if you program on relying on it to play a pc game than i wouldn't acquire it. Manufacturer Response:Thank you for your feedback and choosing IOGEAR, we apologize for your encounter. I would recommend that you use the device in a USB port located at the front of your laptop. If you do not have a front port, attempt using a USB extension cable. This really should boost your range considerably. Please really feel free to make contact with our consumer support at 1-866-946-4327 or e-mail us: support@iogear.com |

None. I can not get this thing to operate on my Asus G60 with Windows 7. It will not install. I tried almost everything but when I run the installation (drivers from IOGear web site v6.3..6300) I get "No Bluetooth device was detected..." When I plug it in the usb port the technique sees this factor as two devices: BCM2046B1 and HID-compliant device. I renamed the "bth.inf" in \windows\inf to "bth.bak". When I attempt to update the drivers on these two found devices manually, Windows tells me that the finest device is already installed. Other Bluetooth devices have worked on this laptop or computer. It performs perfectly. I have an old bulky GBU221 that has been flawless workhorse for me for years. Early indications are that I can I anticipate the similar of this one. Maybe my USB ports are too snug, or my fingers too smooth, but I discovered it challenging to take away. A far more textured nub would be greater. I ordered this to replace an AZiO BTD-V201. IOGear utilizes the WIDCOMM Bluetooth software, which is VASTLY superior to the Toshiba stack that AZiO requires. |

Nice modest form factor. Works as expected, with the drivers downloaded from IOGEAR (for Vista X64). Didn't even try the CD. Range appears a little lacking. Much more most likely a result of obstructions in between BT device and adapter. In no way used BT on a PC just before, a small odd the first time. But this did permit me to hotsync my Tungsten E2 with a 64-bit OS.Haven't been able to get rid of "My bluetooth places" icon from desktop but, minor annoyance that hasn't warranted any genuine investigation. Not the fault of the device, just windows. |

Works perfectly on both 32-bit XP and 32-bit Vista, very modest, doesn't block adjacent USB slots, and can communicate correctly with a wii remote employing bluesoleil and GlovePIE. Sometimes it's a little challenging to eliminate from the USB slot. Not genuinely a con though, considering that it never got stuck. It comes with a little ridge on the device itself to give your fingers something to grip. I didn't even bother working with the CD, but downloaded the 126MB driver zip file from IOGEAR's web site. I'm not positive if the drivers on the CD had been up to date, but from my expertise with CD drivers, they rarely are, and I didn't want to take a opportunity with outdated drivers not working.I bought this to play some PC games with a wiimote. After installing the drivers and bluesoleil, then changing the bluesoleil mode to "human input device" (or one thing similar), it worked perfectly with GlovePIE. I originally began toying about with it on my 32-bit Vista laptop, but switched to my 32-bit XP desktop, and it works on them both. |

It definitely is so tiny you can just leave it in your laptop.Just plug it into your USB port and it works.Inexpensive. Annoying blue light shows you its working. I just plunged it in and let Windows & recognize it and install its own drivers. I was up and running with my bluetooth mouse in about 2 min. All I did was sync the mouse as normal. It comes with drivers but why use them when it works great as is. Its so smaller I just leave it in all the time on my 11" laptop. |

Plugged it in and win 7 recognized it in about two seconds. So tiny you could simply lose it I bought this to sync an old palm to a new 64 bit win 7 pc, haven’t in fact used it for that yet….. we will see how that goes but if there are any difficulties it will probably be the palms fault. The factor is microscopic and there is next to absolutely nothing in it. It’s only that huge so you have one thing to hold. |

Downloaded driver from iogear.com web page, as my Windows XP SP3 didn't have driver. Installed iogear.com support, and adapter came up with out any hitch. Extremely pleased to be able to use Bluetooth headsets for Skype and Second Life. Useless with cell phone. Doesn't connect as headset (not that that's extremely valuable anyway). File transfer is impossibly slow -- about 1 min. per 5MB file. Genuinely cute, so tiny. Only dilemma there is that it's tough to eliminate. I had to use pliers to move it from my desktop to my laptop. I'm just going to have to get another 1 for the laptop. |
Just plugged it into a USB port and win 7 installed drivers for it in below 5 seconds. Extremely modest. Takes up a USB port. I got this to sync an old palm pilot with a new 64 bit win 7 laptop or computer. Palm doesn’t help USB with 64 bit, at least for my older model. Bluetooth is the only other selection. It worked for that, the largest issue with setting it up was with the palm itself, not this item, got it all working soon after a bit of fiddling. This thing is incredibly little. The “housing” is blue translucent plastic and you can sort of see into it. When you do appear, it looks as if there is absolutely nothing in it except for the LED status indicator. The “housing” appears to be supplied only to give you some thing to grasp to pull it out of the socket. The actual Bluetooth chip ought to be all but microscopic.
