IOGEAR GKM681R Black RF Wireless Keyboard with Optical Trackball and Scroll Wheel
Cons:- VERY small (picture is misleading)- Some buttons are in odd places, like the apostrophe and square brackets)- No off button for when not in use
Pros:- Cheap!- Track ball is very nice- Fully functional keyboard |
Bought this to act as a HTPC keyboard/mouse combo. It does the trick. However, it is VERY small. I would guess it's about the same size as a 10" netbook keyboard. There is no off button so to conserve power you must remove the batteries. It comes with a nano receiver which fits into the keyboard on the bottom, so that's nice. It features bumper buttons which act as the left and right mouse buttons for when you hold it in your hands "tablet style".The track ball is very responsive, and probably one of the nicest features of this combo. However, some of the keys are in odd locations. Square brackets and the apostrophe are where the right alt/ctrl buttons would be and the +/= key is where the square brackets would be. Takes a while to get used to if you need these keys. Also, the spacebar is just barely long enough on the right side so I sometimes have trouble remembering where it is as I'm a right-thumb-only-space-bar-user.All in all, I can't complain for the price. It is still a fully functional HTPC keyboard/mouse combo.
